I finally unlocked the angaran avenger last night. Ive heard its an amazing character so I tried her out for a couple matches. I was a little disappointed.
Avenger strike was interesting but it takes so long to stab the target that my teammates would often kill the enemy before I even got to it, causing a wasted cool down. It also does less damage than a normal melee attack, which was a let down.
How do you guys deal with this, and what builds are you using for the avenger.

Stealth grid and trip mines as well as some passives make the Avenger strong. Leave Avenger strike at one point. sticky grenades I used to run Avenger Strike Max on gold... Now running platinum, I just leave 1 point in Avenger strike. Max your sticky nades (UP UP UP) and bottom tree (UP UP UP) put a few points in stealth and profit (I now max my stealth for the speed bonus to fly around on plat) |

Avenger Strike 6 ranks is fun and effective on Gold and below. If you don't use try it that way at least once you are missing out!

Avenger strike is really useful for getting at those annoying at range opponents that like to use cover such as the outlaw sniper.

You can also find 2 builds for each character in the MEA MP Builder (link in signature). Both are Gold viable, I'm slowly dripping Platinum ones in the mix.
Simply choose the character you want, click on the Tips associated then click "load in builder".

Angara Avenger Build
Avenger Strike: 4b/5b/6a
4b = recharge speed superior to damage as you can more often charge/melee
5b = giving you some protection when charging into a group of foes, better than higher damage per strike
6a = lets you stun the attacked foe and leaving him/her/it completely helpless giving you 5s time to take out the remaining health; and if that’s still not sufficient cloak afterwards and rest done with grenades
Edit: 6a I love most cause it also works on bosses!
And this build - tested successfully - is at least a Gold solo build. Haven't yet tested her on platinum solo but will give it at least a try. |

Salsa Infiltrator is a higher damage sticky grenadier, but stealth grid is safer because it has no cooldown.
Sticky Avengers are boring. Shank it up.

Played her today on Platinum APEX mission with Avenger Strike maxed and only 1 points in nades. Didn't had any problems, AS did it's job.
Might try her with 1 point in Stealth Grid.
