Yes Denuvo has been removed, but only 1.05 has been cracked. I wonder if Bioware is trolling or the pirates just can't be bothered or are finding complications on cracking the 1.09 patch which fixes a lot of performance issues and makes the game a lot more playable.
Just curious as to why 1.09 is still safe from pirates.

Denuvo's job is only to delay the pirates so the initial sales don't sufer much. Since the game is coming close to four months old i suppose Bioware saw no need to keep using it, but how knows (apart from BW)?

Cause knowing the pirates they'd have 1.09 up by now. Something must be stopping them if they can only crack 1.05. Anyway, I bought the 100 dollar version and I am loving this game. I did however wait patiently for a lot of patches before starting my play through.

DRM in vidya is only really used to stall crackers in the initial high-volume sales phase of a game directly after launch as it is inevitably cracked soon after. Once it has served its purpose, is there any real reason to keep it in the software? Besides, Origin still acts as DRM and obvious has been deemed "good enough" by EA. Note: Removal of the DRM jumped my FPS with the rig in my sig by anywhere from ~10 fps - ~50 fps depending on the area.  |
