I recently completed ME3 with a broShep Soldier. It was quite a ride. Using the Mattock the whole time, my mouse finger got pretty tired by the end.
This time around, I'm playing a femShep, planning to romance Liara. Throughout the whole series, most everything points to Shepard being a soldier, and while I've had fun with other classes in past ME games, ME3 screams soldier play style. I know others would disagree, and that's fair.
Getting to the point, given the skill cooldown mechanic in ME3, I decided to play a Soldier/Adept hybrid...no, not a Vanguard. As a soldier, I took Reave as my bonus power and maxed it out using dmg and radius increase options. I've decided to ONLY carry an SMG, in order to get the 200% bonus on cooldown.
So, my main skills are as follows:
Adrenaline Rush Reave Concussive Blast Incendiary Ammo Combat Mastery Fitness
I just completed Priority: Palaven (Turian homeworld), and I must say, this style is a hoot! Reave is devastating to bunched enemies and has a low cooldown. Concussive blast can be fired off one after another, and Adrenaline Rush, when I need to use it, is insane. During the time dilation, I drop a Reave, then annihilate everyone with my SMG+Incendiary Ammo.
It's a lot of fun, more fun than I've had with straight up Adepts.
So, have you come up with any interesting character builds?
PS: First post on the forums...Welcome me!

Mattock + Adrenaline Rush is the most powerful combination in the game
