As I'm having cutscenes on Eos, I am noticing that they've made the sky and scenes a bit darker. They seem to be returning it to the look it had in a leaked video where the background was darker rather than the bright almost cartoon look it had upon release. It looks so much better now. I noticed it right away and so far it is consistent in all the cutscenes I have had on Eos though I'm really early in the quests and haven't gone very far. It looks great.

Also, could be my imagination, but I think jump is a bit more airy. I swear I am having better range. I noticed it first thing in my new game and as I go through eos vault, I feel like my character is lighter and has a bit more distance.

I thought it was just that I was using Biotic Blink (NG+, trying for more 'personal canon' Explorer Rank 6) but yeah that wouldn't make sense. Maybe it is indeed because they added some distance. Or maybe its still just my perceptions. Ugh dunno.

Eos skies look a bit different. I think they toned down the colors or brightness. Everything looked a touch darker or maybe more contrast. Like they used different shaders or something.

I just wrapped up running around on Voeld and noticed that the cold hazard is missing at lower altitudes. Did they remove the hazard after the vaults are activated?

It never made sense to me how Eos, Eladaan, and Kadara would all have instant adjustments to their environmental hazards but Voeld wouldn't so this would be a good change if true

I still get a cold hazard around the Resistance camp and the Kett stronghold, but since those are supposed to be in the mountains it makes sense.

Yeah it's definitely not my imagination on the jump. Glad to see others notice it. What tipped me off for sure was how I could almost skip certain land points in vaults, ones that I needed or I would go into the fluid.
Headed to voeld now to check post vault status. Where should I look? Any low level area?
Okay I still have my life support bar draining in three normal level (not mountain, dark blue on map) areas. Says cold environment level 1.

Yeah, it's hit or miss. On some spots of the frozen lake I'm not, on some spots I am. It's weird.

It wouldn't surprise me if they tweaked the values a bit, but I haven't played much since 1.09 since my motherboard decided to quit on me and take the majority of my system with it.
I did notice on my second run I was jumping a lot better on Eos the second time just because my skills with the mechanic were better, but I know there were one or two places in the vault where I would barely make the jump as well prior to 1.09.
Voeld has had a bug that would remove the environmental conditions as well, I encountered it with my Insanity run which trivialized the area.

I'm curious about this as well. I haven't played since I finished my first playthrough in order to let BW patch the game up to completion. Currently, I'm trying to advance past the MG2 rank in CS:GO... Hint: not going well at all, btw.

More detail seems to have been added to all of the planets: Kadara has more vents, more steam, looks more hazardous.

Sounds like we need a thorough investigation. I thought the patch was larger than just what they said was being fixed.

Sounds like we need a thorough investigation. I thought the patch was larger than just what they said was being fixed. I'm currently going through a 1.09 runthrough. I'm in the early stages (haven't even reached Eos), but I'm already noticing that the Ryder's (including Addison) keep looking better. Especially in the hair (BioFan would appreciate it) it looks different. It's possible I've just never noticed, but I swear that the hair looks thicker-better then before.

I've spent a lot of time on this planet and I've never noticed this much before. It's like it's everywhere now but I don't remember seeing much of any steam before. I know there were some spots with it, but they were almost rare and especially compared to it now. Or maybe the steam was here but they have made it look more obvious. Now it looks like a smoke and seems to go up higher. I think before it was less obvious and more low to the ground. Perhaps even a bit more opaque before.

Not sure if it's 1.09 or earlier, but the workers in Shock Treatment on Eos look a lot better now. They are wearing armor, Jennings has a hat and the nameless one has a microphone thingy and hair. Their colors also match the Initiative's color scheme more. So it looks quite nice.

These are a lot of changes. Small stuff but I just have to wonder why they would bother unless they were planning for DLC or something. Its four months later. key sales are done. Low ball prices. Almost not worth it except to have higher sales numbers in general.
