Server Side Fix for Siphon Weapons Today

Billy posted interesting info about Platinum hacks (that they were balanced with a full team in mind, not solo, and that they were tested by the studio)... and we shat all over him.

We whine about lack of communication from Bioware but we treat them like shit when they do try to communicate. We need to behave more like adults. And that includes me, I was an ass in the linked thread.

Guess it's no wonder they closed the official forums. I still remember the outrage that was no Trespasser/MP DLC for last-gen consoles for Dragon Age: Inquisition. I generally don't mind that Hack is like upload. The timer could be reduced some though. Personally, I find the core issue to be the team feeling like EVERY enemy needs to bumrush their way inside the Hack. I do see a good compromise being a slowing effect on the Hack speed, rather than completely stopping it.

If I had to critique one of Billy's post in that thread, it would be that I find it odd that the team also didn't hear calls for Upload to not have the interrupt; as there were people calling for Upload and Hacks mechanics to be switched.

50 bullets?! Well that renders it pretty much useless for priming since they boosted the damage and most of the enemies die before you can prime them.

I don't really know how you acted in the other thread, so if you acted a fool then of course you should apologize. I never do, but whatever.

That said, if you are making personal attacks against individual devs, Mac excluded, you are bad and should feel bad. Workers follow a leader, regardless of the corporate structure, and if any single individual should take heat for any perceived failings, it would be Mac.

Beyond that, if you said that Bioware blows, Bioware is blowing it, Biower pls etc.... THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, and please don't apologize. They are a company, they make products to sell to us, and if they can't take the heat for at least half of their fans being pissed about the state of their game, that reflects far more on them than it does us.

I could be wrong but ME3MP seemed well marketed with trailers, challenges, devs playing with fans, n7HQ, N7 day promos. Could it be that they no longer have the manpower to follow the ME3 strategy?

Bioware is a company. All companies are staffed by real people. All of them have feelings. Most of my feelings at work are, "Where is my shit that I ordered weeks ago and you promised to fulfill, only to find out the lamps I need now are being sublet from another warehouse in Louisiana and the truck is leaving in two hours? You numbnut piece of shit, how do you keep your job?"

I just always find it fascinating how few the people are that would survive in my industry. It is brutally honest, sometimes very poorly measured, profane without limit, and everyone is so edgy in their own mind.

Performance is expected, it is easy to be fired or replaced, thick skin mandatory.

What does the 7 killstreak and 3 max mean?

Fairly certain as you net quick succession kills the Siphon effect gets better, stacking up to 3 times lasting for 7 seconds, or until its refreshed by killing another enemy. Its the only saving grace from there "Siphon fix" being complete worthless, only goes up  0.08% per rank. So with 3 Siphon stacks on a rank X weapon you will health steal  11.75%, instead of 9%.

I mean its still a complete sh** upgrade and makes getting further versions of Siphon past I an insult but that's just my opinion. Just like Bulwark, the difference between a rank I and X is so minor that the version may as well stop at I or make it so when you get these variants its automatically the X version. Concussive is by far the only variant that actually has a noticeable difference in rank as the effect get more than 1% more powerful per level.
