I didn't see this posted here yet. From the Reddits. www.reddit.com/r/MECoOp/comments/6n2dpf/new_map_imminent_new_map_challenge_added_for/Conal_From_BioWare "No stream today as our team's out on vacation. There is a new map and mission for you to try out. Also, we fixed an issue today with Siphon weapons not increasing their heal value at higher ranks (II-X). The heal value now properly increases as they rank up."I wonder if the alternate weapons still use the shotgun priming formula or not though. I hate that most of the gun variants don't prime as well as the vanilla.

Thanks.
I don't understand why they don't just make their own thread if they have some info. It seems really strange that they can 'announce' something in a reply that can get buried rather quickly.

Yep. It seems like a strange decision to announce this kind of information in a nested reply chain in a reddit topic unrelated to patch notes.

You're forgetting these are the same people who deciding bloating manifest was a good idea. And that they should nerf melee for the sake of diversity. Then buffed melee for the sake of diversity. Edit: Okay so admittedly the melee thing was just a tuning issue, not poor logic.

They do have a bizarre, incoherent internet communication strategy: * Important announcements buried on reddit. * Other important announcements buried on individual dev's Tweets, meaning that following @ Bioware and @ MassEffect is pointless. * Patch notes sometimes posted on EA Answers HQ instead of / before on blog.bioware.com * Why does blog.bioware.com even exist as a source of official patch notes when www.masseffect.com already exists? * etc. I am studying Content Strategy in one of my grad school courses and this is pretty much a textbook case of lack of strategy. (In fairness it is something everyone struggles with including Fortune 500 companies.)

To be fair, the differentiation between weapons ranks I-X isn't that great either. This represents a 25% increase in health steal when ranking up the weapon. Most weapon damage increases somewhere between 15-20% as you rank up the weapons. I actually prefer that you get a very usable weapon at Rank I. Characters are a different story, which is why (I think) most people focus on buying reserve packs to get those juicy skill points.

Everything was the same on rank I and X except the 3% which slowly goes to 3.75%. Not worth using an equalizer siphon X over Hurricane Siphon 1. Scorpion with AOE seems nice though.

If so that would be great, since they are both great blindfire weapons.

strangely i haven't been experiencing the priming issues with my weapon. i use a revenant (siphon) II on my human soldier, and it seemed to be priming just as fast as the non-siphon. maybe the bug only appears on certain weapons? Assault weapons were not affected. But I see a big difference with the pistols, mainly hurricane and rozerad. I noticed that equalizer siphon I doesn't prime, so I prefer to stick with the regular equalizer and hurricane.

I noticed that equalizer siphon I doesn't prime, so I prefer to stick with the regular equalizer and hurricane. That's incorrect. The equalizer siphon I DOES prime. It just takes significantly longer than its vanilla variant (50 bullets instead of 10 or something like that). Either this is a bug that hopefully gets fixed (please please please) or it is intentional and meant to be a drawback for some of the new gun variants.
