It's like the Krysae's retarded brother because there is no splash damage from the explosions its rounds cause. And what's worse is that you can't aim accurate and fire in quick succession because the first round u shoot creates a smoke cloud around your target, saving it from concurrent headshots. It also cannot penetrate cover either. So lame, doesn't deserve to be a N7 UR gun.

there's no splash damage? because it definitely is supposed to have splash damage. the last time i checked, it was bugged with incendiary and cryo ammo (same with scorpion) where it wouldn't deal the AOE portion of the damage. did they never fix that?

It's OP when leveled. I've had it maxed gor a while*, now have a Siphon I. I don't use it much because it requires so little effort that it's boring. It's basically the anti-Isharay.
*To be clear this is not a "my manifest is better than yours, hurr" brag; it just happened to be one of the first URs I maxed.

Maybe it's supposed to be a "distraction" gun of sorts. You know, instead of tossing smoke grenades you shoot this thing... or something. Yeah, I don't have it myself, but I saw a couple of people using it in the past and was wondering if it was anything like the Krysae.

Yeah, I don't have it myself, but I saw a couple of people using it in the past and was wondering if it was anything like the Krysae. It's somewhere between the pre- and post-nerf Krysae. AoE feels smaller, and full damage isn't applied as AoE like the Krysae; they actually just adjusted the AoE to be a smaller percentage of its damage in 1.09 (from 60% direct/40% AoE to 80/20). You can't erase spawns with it like the pre-nerf Krysae, but it does still mess up clumps of enemies decently.

"Changed damage distribution between impact and area of effect from a 40/60 ratio to 20/80" impact/aoe in the typed order, no?

This was my very first UR and I hated it then and hate it still. So annoying to use. I agree that the splash damage has either never worked, or is so weak as to no matter anyways.

I'm not 100% sure, no. I think it's poorly-worded/inverted though, primarily because my recollection is was it was 60% direct damage / 40% AoE before the change. It is entirely possible I'm mistaken. I did not check any of the stat sheets.

The raptor and the kishock harpoon gun. Really? I thought they said in the stream that the Kishock did have a hip fire penalty, that's what I remember at least. Good to know. Yeah krysae pre nerf was the Hammer of the Gods, post nerf it was your average Mantis with some fancy effect.

Tested here: bsn.boards.net/post/787934/threadI don't think they new the answer on the stream so they glossed over it quickly.

Haven't tried it out post 1.09 patch, but here's a video my Duelist using the Naladen on Gold:
It's not that bad as an AOE weapon. I prefer the Venom, but I'll be giving the Naladen another look now that the Direct/AOE damage appears to be 20/80 instead of 40/60.

I wish they would just get rid of that stupid flash aura every time you hit something with it. That aspect would be fine if it wasn't one of the slower semi-autos in the game, but to me, even the nerfed Vanquisher handles better.
