The best way to do a hack is not to hide like a little bi&*h while a cloak does it. You need to tank that shit like a bauce. Actually , I think my teammates did all the work, I missed most of my shots blinkering like a chicken with his head cut off...
Gold hack....probably only my third one ever...
A silver medal for this hack is kind of disgusting in comparison!
Bioware. Please nerf hacks. Please nerf scrapper.

It just pure luck. Sometimes u get pretty ez spot for hack and sometimes u just get a spot in the middle of the map there zerkers rush u from all directions.

Without the scrapper vs outlaw armor it probably wouldn't have happened. Its nice when you can (few and far in between) tank a hack though. We've been trying it more and more but when we run some classes the DPS just isn't high enough and rockets are good for priming. We leave half way done or so and draw the enemies away. Still more efficient than just letting the cloak go do it all alone. You can also gold platinum hacks with double barricades if it spawns in a room. We did get a good spawn there. |

What team composition are you using, that has you "believing" center tower magma hack platinum is impossible? What weapons are they using? How are they playing? Things will seem impossible if you aren't using the right tools. Try changing a tire with 2 frozen lug nuts with your bare hands, with no car jack.... seems impossible don't it?  |

Got a silver on derelict a little while ago by about 3 seconds.... The AA definitely does the least during a hack like that but she is the safety net ensuring completion (if we have to leave) and his nade spam on debuffed targets does help. Definitely the "correct" way to fram platinum but it just gets tiring using scrappers and full tilt debuffs every game. I'm the only person I know that is occasional playing a human vanguard, duelist or asari adept on platinum. I'm starting to like the sari adept. She is hard as shit to play but that dash is sweet....dash in and detonate, dash out...repeat... More than one infiltrator class is a complete waste of DPS...you are right on that... |

Mean while I'm just over here twiddling my thumbs hoping Bioware reverts the changes to Hack so I can have more than a like 50-60% extract rate on Platinum. Its pretty much the only thing holding me back from playing this game more, I can't consistently hang around playing Platinum because I know with PUGS the chances of success are slim and it gets old fast wiping on wave 4 or 6 because Bioware decided to make one of the easiest objectives now one of the hardest.
