This is why I ditched consoles years ago. You could always build a decent gaming PC. That would solve your problem.

I have a pc that's decent, just not able to use it at the moment, and everyone I know plays on console anyways.
Thing is, games with much better graphics than andromeda play fine, zero framerate drop or stutter. Andromeda is poorly optimized, this is a developer-end issue that should have been solved prior to release.
Combined with how bad the p2p system is for ME:A's multiplayer (who the hell uses p2p anymore?), the game can be literally unplayable at times.

Wish it was cheaper though Here is a ~$500 PC build that kicks consoles in the teeth. That's just the basics. Look, those builds though if you were to be a first time pc user (like myself, I use a MacBook Pro 2011 model if your curious) you would need: mouse/keyboard, monitor, operating system-you'll probably need Windows 10 maybe even a computer desk to fit it all. That's going to cost you a lot more then $500. I did look into pc gaming before MEA came out-it was just to expensive/time consuming with what I needed--which was everything under the sun.

Agreed I'm playing it on PS4 normal and it's quite annoying when driving the Nomad the game sometimes freeze for a couple of seconds or how when loading the Tempest some areas aren't properly loaded sometimes this happen also on the Nexus where the merchants take some seconds to appear before you are able to interact with them each time you land on the docks.
It tells me that the game is poorly optimized IMO.

Andromeda is poorly optimized, this is a developer-end issue that should have been solved prior to release. This isn't really a reliable metric. Lots of things can be 'better graphics' but the overall performance is ultimately down to a mix of amount, effects, draw distance and the hardware available to crunch it all. The PS4 was underpowered for what Sony expected it to do and the Frostbite 3 engine is a hardware hog... I'm amazed they got the draw distance as far as it does.

I think they should tone down some graphical effects to offer a more fluid experience to the average PS4 user. I played a really demanding game like TW3 on my PS4 and it didn't really freeze on me. I'm not saying that it was super smooth but neither with freezes or areas not fully loaded.

Game is smooth as butta on my rig and MP works just fine on my connection. Here is a ~$500 PC build that kicks consoles in the teeth. That's just the basics. It is a very safe assumption that even console-only gamers have some form of desktop PC and can reuse everything except the tower itself.

Try putting your console in 720p mode, I have honestly had better performance on console running some games in 720p instead of 1080i or p.
Give that a shot.
That's awful it's not stable on console.

PS4 player here. I only ever have some problem while on the Nomad, with some slight stutter, but never outside. Didn't have this problem since last patch, actually...at least not on Eos.

I still use optical drives for old games, but to each their own. This build would still perform as well if not better than a Pro/X. A 1050 Ti is surprisingly powerful and even the dual-core Intel would trash the shit CPUs in modern consoles.

I was on it just yesterday for about two hours on Eos. Smooth fps. It may have to do with the firmware update. I know this isn't much help.
