Easier way is click on window the hit alt+enter. Dammit, I had been doing right alt + enter and it wasn't working. It has to be left alt. Hey we all have brain farts/ blonde moments etc. |

What is wrong with running in a window? I find with my setup running in a window runs far worse then taking up the full screen, but I do have to check my email semi-regularly at time especially if I am on call for work. |

I believe with custom settings, it's possible that there's conflicts between the game's default settings and control panel's. |

Yes, there is a way to use the Alt+Tab shortcut to switch between windows without switching to windowed mode.
On Windows 10, you can use the Task View feature to switch between windows without minimizing any of them. To use Task View, press the Windows key+Tab or click the Task View button on the taskbar. This will open a view of all your open windows, and you can use the mouse or the arrow keys to select the window you want to switch to.
Alternatively, you can use the Alt+Tab shortcut to switch between windows as usual, but hold down the Alt key while releasing the Tab key to keep the windows open and just switch between them. This allows you to quickly switch between windows without minimizing any of them.
Note that these methods may not work for all applications, as some programs may automatically minimize or switch to windowed mode when they are not the active window.
