My bad. I was ignoring the OP and strictly thinking of how headshot bonuses work, not thinking about the fact we are discussing non-headshot weapons. Oops 😢

Shotgun Smart Choke is useless on the Venom Shotgun and the N7 Crusader, and of very little use on the Reegar Carbine (it only improves the pellet spread, not the range) and the Geth Plasma Shotgun (it only benefits uncharged shots). This is not true. Smart choke makes them look cool. I know, i mentioned that in the OP. some weapon mods do literally nothing when put on certain weapons other than waste the slot and maybe make the gun look better Seriously though, shotgun ULM gives the same cosmetic effect as the smart choke because it uses the same slot. I've been known to ULM my crusader on occasion just for the sweet black paint job. And as for discussing useless consumables... too many grey areas and too many combinations to list in a convenient manner. If anyone else wants to make a "What consumables NOT to use" thread then go for it, but I'm too lazy.

I don't pick mods purely for the cosmetic effects, but I do pick which mod goes in the top mod slot. The one in the top slot seems to override the cosmetic effect of the mod in the bottom slot, in my experience.

I wish more knew about this information. I believe that seeing mods that don't work on guns in a PUG match bothers me more than having no equipment. Don't know why, it just seems to.

The assault rifle high velocity barrel. It doesn't "do nothing" but it is a poor choice for almost every occasion regardless. Mathematically it's only beneficial on the PPR, and only on a kit for which weight is no issue at all such as the N7 Destroyer. Even then the benefit is so small as to be unnoticeable. It precludes an extended barrel and the benefit over a regular AP mod are extremely small. You're almost always better off with an extended barrel and the vanilla AP mod.

Wait, so if I put the penetration mod on a Geth shotgun, it won't even ignore enemy armour? It's COMPLETELY useless, or it just won't go through cover?

Wait, so if I put the penetration mod on a Geth shotgun, it won't even ignore enemy armour? It's COMPLETELY useless, or it just won't go through cover? Projectile weapons aren't affected by armour damage reduction, it's only hitscan weapons that need to worry about that. So yes, it's completely useless apart from the cosmetic effects, which IIRC shotgun ULM can replicate while actually doing something slightly useful.

Tiempo de algunas imágenes clásicas de "allowableweaponmods" ñ_ñ I always said that they miss some stuff in the game that were very easy to deploy

Ah the it in the earlier post looked like the antecedent was Targeting VI. I don't like the Adas on anybody really, and I suppose it doesn't make sense on Turians either. Geth Engineer with the Adas is about the best I know. (Full Hunter Mode, Weapon damage passives, Overload) Incendiary Ammo, Overload to explode.

Give the same setup a try on the Juggernaut if you ever have the chance. Strip shields/barriers with Adas, prime health/armor for fire explosions, detonate with Siege Pulse, repeat for 20 minutes. The flamethrower turret is also good for setting up fire explosions on either kit, though you have to detonate while it's flaming.
