One big problem for me after the 1.09 patch is for my friends that do not or cannot play as much as I. I play 2-4 hours a day so I have the gear for platinum. I have not maxed my rare weapons and my highest UR is level 3 but what I have is good enough. Most of my friends on the other hand have not even maxed their uncommons.
This happened in ME3 to a point that it took my friends over a year longer to have a couple of good options to run in platinum. Unless something changes I will not be here much longer. I played ME3 everyday for 2.5 years and loved every day. We are approaching 4 months and I am about to walk away. If I cannot play the difficulty that challenges me with my friends I have no need to spend my time in the game.
All I can say is the rate we can unlock the cards has to increase. I suggest drastically increasing credits from missions, drop the cost for buying with mission funds or add packs when completing daily challenges. Bioware has to do something or you will lose me and I expect others in my position.
I know I am only one person so my loss is not that big of deal but I am a committed player. I was in the top 500 global in both ranking in ME3 and I am top 1500 APEX, almost top 500 Challenge in MEA so I have put my time in and feel I need to be heard. Another problem for another day is the lack of a more direct route to the devs.

You were willing to deal with it there, but not in Andromeda.
Since your friends play less time than you, while they are on-line, you could play Gold with them, and while they are off, you can play Platinum with other geared players, until the guys catch up. Maxing out a 20/XX basic human character that is perfectly capable of supporting a strong player in Gold is very fast.
You have a direct route route to the developers, it's the Twitter. The name of the guy who answers the MP questions on the Twitter is Fernando Melo, I think. It's as direct as it gets.

The game has passed the point of no return with shop & unlockable contents.
I don`t think there will be a real fix.
Even if BW double the drop rate of UR, it may not be enough for most players. (...and this won`t happen because BW cannot enrage those who already spent hundred million credits or thousands of dollars on AP)

JRandall collects our questions and requests to give them to the dev team. But you can attend the stream and give your own requests.

(...and this won`t happen because BW cannot enrage those who already spent hundred million credits or thousands of dollars on AP) I'm very much pissed at BW for the bloated pool. But when I play team Plat games, I prefer my human characters which are easy to obtain even for new players. Not disagreeing with you about the enormous amount of credits/time we need to spend or have spent, just pointing out that we have options despite that.

Never mind this patch could have fucked up the game, let's roll out an untested product and leave the studios for a few weeks and hope to hell the game is still standing when they return.

I do carry them for golds but if that is not enough for them to catch up. I am a decent player but I cannot carry 3 people through platinum. What I am saying is that no matter what I do at this point with the current credit earning rate they cannot catch up and that is not fun for me. I want to experience games with my friends, pugging is fine when no one is around but if everyone is online I want to play with them. I am bored with gold and want to do something else as well, playing with my friends and playing at a difficulty I find challenging is not something available with the current system.

I carried my brother when he was brand new. We did Gold his first night in the game. He didn't do well, but we succeeded and we got better. Nothing short of Platinum requires good gear or fully leveled characters anymore.

It was more attainable to get them the bare requirements so they could contribute. I am not finding this the case in MEA. I do play with them in golds but I want to play in platinum and they will not be ready for months as it stands. I stated this is a personal issue to the group I play with and my own personal gaming style. Not everyone is impacted in this way but I am so I am voicing my frustrations. I do not care about all of the single player complaints as those do not bother me but I do not think less of those that have issues with those flaws. Thank you for the name, I do not use twitter much and my searches did not yield that name. I was used to the old Bioware forum that had a social manager I could message.

If they each have one good kit and one good gun, is that not enough? In the time since release they have on average 2 kits and weapons that are barely gold worthy. If a more skilled player had the same stuff they would be fine, for them they struggle. At this same rate it will be late fall before they have enough gear for platinum and it is likely at that time I will give up the game and go back to Destiny. I don't want to do that I want to stay here but if the game continues to put up barriers for the way I like to have fun I will leave. Again this is a personal situation for me and I as an individual is no loss to the game as a whole. If there are a bunch of people like me then there is a loss so I express my opinion.

Thank you for the name, I do not use twitter much and my searches did not yield that name. I was used to the old Bioware forum that had a social manager I could message. Well, were I your friend, and were I in a premade of 4M, where one of the guys could carry Pt, I'd have no problems of doing gold with another gold capable friend while you carry one person in Pt, and then switch up. There was a thread somewhere which indicated that a lot of kits on the fairly low unlock level are rather fine in Pt.
Alternatively, maybe you could make an extra friend who is Pt capable, so between the two of you, you can carry more than one of your old friends through Pt, while the others do Gold.
I know logistics is a bitch, but that's what guilds do in MMO, and have done so since the times immemorial.

It's not that I mind your posting or anything, OP, but you should really be talking to your friends.
You want to play with your friends? Carry them. You want to play Platinum? Ask around on BSN. You want to play Platinum with your friends? As much as I wish I could help you out, I can't...

Human characters + Charger. Totally Gold viable. It's how we all started out, and that was when powers sucked. Should be much easier now.
Plenty of good stuff at the Uncommon tier, too.
Rare and Ultra-Rare characters are viable at Rank I (yes, they are). Rare and UR weapons are also viable at Rank I (mostly, some are not great like the Inferno SR).
Play with your friends for fun. Be on the mic, talk random shit, enjoy the game. The credits and loot will come in time. Or it won't and everyone will play with Commons. Who cares as long as you are having fun?

Another problem for another day is the lack of a more direct route to the devs. Play gold Apex missions (more credits) when your friends are on and have them buy Arsenal packs. If they have nothing, gold should be plenty challenging for your team. Once they get a Rozerad or Hurricane to drop, they will be fine. The Vanilla human infiltrator, salarian infiltrator, turian agent, and Asari huntress are all really good start kits on platinum, Angara Avenger is the best (UR). Play platinum when they are not online so you can carry when they are ready. You don't need high level UR for success, you just need the right UR. We all had to start in the same boat. It is actually much easier to get gear and level it now (maxing it is more difficult) than it used to be, so if anything you are at an advantage compared to when "the rest of us" started. You HAVE to put the time into this game or get a head start by buying Andromeda Points. The grind IS the game.

As long as they have all 5 comsumables unlocked and there's a charger/viable rare weapon, you might want to start platinum if your friends know, what they are doing. HSent, HInf and HSol are easily brought to lvl XX and here we go. If Gold is too easy/boring for you and/or your friends but you still won't manage U/U/P, then maybe you want to look for an "easy" preset Plat game. Magma/Remnant did it for me and my friends when we started.
