This is great great news. Note to fanbase don't run him off again (not directed at this particular forum).

Gotta put faith in the man. He sure learned from his mistakes and is ready to overcome any remaining backlash stuff that will come, after all IMO, he returned fully aware of this.

Sad to see Aaryn go, wish him a happy journey and success from now on and I'm happy to see Casey come back. Unexpected, that was.

Hudson is responsible for the ME trilogy, and the initial foundation of Anthem, you could give Flynn credit for DAI I suppose but Mark Darrah was the Casey Hudson of that game. 

Hudson's return hopefully means whatever shit show happened back then that caused hudson to leave and threw MEA's development cycle in disarray is over. That something along the lines of EA realizing their fault and offering to take a step back if he returns...just speculative of course but I hope.

One thing for sure is that he is going to kick some serious ass and i'm he will be given much more flexibility from EA to make the games proper than they did for andromeda.

I really really hope he can do something for ME now after the Anthem launch cycle.

Well if the kotaku article is to be believed I'd reckon it has to mostly do with ME:A. A manager makes sure people get shit done, which was the exact issue that crossed ME:A development. With Anthem coming around I'm sure EA wants to make sure nothing goes wrong. 

No, Casey left because he wanted to work on other projects in another studio.

Why did he return back is a mystery for now.

Let also keep in mind that Battlefront 2 is taking a huge step in an area DICE is not familiar with (story). If that flops or under preforms EA will need Anthem to keep the share holders happy.

The more I think about this the more I am encouraged. The ME trilogy was his baby so if they bring back the guy that was the driving force behind the orginal Mass Effect it tells me they haven't given up on Mass Effect.
