Nearly every time I buy a pack or weapon, it's a gorram sniper rifle - the one weapon type I have and will never use in this game.

Look on the bright side, every time you get one, you take it out of the loot pool, thus increasing the chances of getting something else eventually.

Ironically, I do. I had one of the expensive packs awarded for something, and it dropped Kishock. I have never bought a pack above Silver, and I have both Kishok and Batarian on Level 1. One day I'll play Tutorial with this combo. The dmg that is listed on the gun is crazy, but it weighs a metric ton & i dunno if I'd get to shoot it more than a dozen times. |

Against some pretty steep odds, I finally managed to unlock the piercing mod, thus finally making SRs a viable weapon option.
But to be honest, I wonder how much purpose SRs are going to serve me in a game that eschewed the "cover-based" part of the shooter in favour of "Everything and everyone jumps around like a maniac."
Of course, getting a kill headshot on an opponent mid-jump is serious bragging rights, so there's that, I suppose.

You know under the right circumstances it can OHK berserkers on platinum: It really is a beast of a weapon. I honestly think its second to the hurricane now. They just have very different roles in the game. The damage a shot does is just crazy and it handles well on console (easy to aim). |
