So I just switched my rozerad from barrel and mag to barrel and targeting system. It plays extremely well. My question is:
If higher accuracy means more shots hitting, would there be any logic to going mag and targeting system and not using the barrel? Thanks!

You'd have to estimate the difference in the number of bullets that would miss without the accuracy bonus (or with the accuracy penalty). 10% bullets missing => –10% to max theoretical DPS. I don't know if that answers your question or not.

Most of the time you aren't using more than the standard clip at once anyhow. I have the Targeting at Rank IX (+57%) and my Rozerad X (please give me Siphon tonight) seems to have pinpoint accuracy now.

I would imagine barrel and targeting would be more beneficial, especially if have faster reload passives. Barrel ensures higher dps on every bullet that hits, and the targeting ensures more bullets hit; they go hand on hand, no?

barrel - consistent damage increase for all situations targeting - damage increase at longer range, no difference at short range mag - damage increase over time, no difference for shorter engagements
it would make sense to change around mods depending the kit you're playing. tsols can get a lot of accuracy buffs from skills, so barrel/mag would probably give you better returns. human engineers get zero accuracy buffs from skills, but prefers to play from longer ranges to avoid getting insta killed, so targeting/mag would be a solid choice.
