With all the talk of how much better ME3 MP was, I'd like to share some thoughts about MP characters I've really enjoyed playing in ME:A (in no particular order). Human adept - She was one of my fav characters in ME3 after they fixed singularity (but found her too squishy in platinum) - a real combo machine. On paper, the ME:A version is inferior, with pull instead of warp, and long cool downs. But after playing her, I actually find her more fun than in ME3. For one, pull is actually useful in ME:A. Two, using her powers is more situational. In ME3, it was almost always singularity first, then either warp or shockwave. Rinse, repeat. In ME:A, the separate cool downs mean you have to be more aware and anticipate the timings. Also, jumping in and jetpacking, and throwing shockwave in mid-air to multi-detonate singularity is really cool. The increased speed and maneuvability makes shockwave more useful and fun to play. In ME:A, she's my go-to character. Also, she should be the canon LI in SP. The game would have gotten much better reviews (well, I'm only half serious). Asari adept - In ME3, she was straightforward (but a bit dull) to play, using warp-throw combo, and stasis to stop phantoms and small groups. In ME:A, she's more like a cross between the N7 Fury (shield-lance build) and Asari valkryie (throw build), IMHO. While she's not as exciting to play as the N7 Fury, I find the extra maneuverability (from jump and jet pack) makes the new AA fun in her own right. She's also not chained to a particular weapon, like the Fury with the Acolyte (though I personally preferred the Scorpion), and the Reegar on the Valk. Asari sentinel - So she's the new Valkryie? In any case, I love that backlash! IMHO, probably the most fun new power. Nothing more satisfying than deflecting an attack and angling it to take out a couple of other enemies. It's like playing a mini-game of billiards while a war rages on around you. It's just missing the British commentators whispering, "That was an excellent shot!" Asari duelist - My fav character in ME:A. If you're a fan of Rurouni Kenshin, you know what I mean. She's what the N7 Slayer should have been - a true melee character. IMHO, she's the near-perfect synergy of "god-like speed" with charge, jet pack and blink dodge, and Battoujutsu (i.e. i-frames sword strike), with backlash for defense. She is the closest approximation of the Battousai in any game I can think of. Being able to charge into a group of berserkers, dogs and redbars, and cut them all down without firing a single shot is something else. I'd like to thank whoever at BW designed her. I'll probably be spending many hours to perfect her striking and dodging - be one with the sword. Salarian architect - While ME:A's version of the turret is pretty awful compared to the pets in ME3, the Remnant VI is awesome (since the buff). I also like the look and design of the character. Being able to prime for all three tech powers, then call in an air strike, makes him interesting and fun. Kineticist - The glass-cannon N7 Fury. What hasn't already been said? Still trying to figure out how to play her in platinum though. Honouable mentions to the Turian agent, Kromerc and Batscrap (or whatever people call him). Thanks for reading!

I really enjoy the krogan engineer. I play a close range build with a shotgun and melee, and use incinerate/overload on distant targets or as I'm charging in to headbutt.
Krogan vanguard is similarly fun, big hulking beast flying around the map spamming headbutt on everything, but I have serious issues with him vs flying enemies like observers.
Human engineer is fun with a cryo turret/ammo/snap freeze shatter build. Ill probably replace him with the human artificer though, since she gets the remnant vi to detonate. I really wish assault turret was better in this game.
I'm still eagerly awaiting quarians, hopefully they'll be added to the mp roster eventually.

I love the Duelist also. Just the funniest, coolest thing around. Although the Kineticist is awesome too. Just much harder to use!
I also have found Backlash to be awesome. I thought it would be lame - it doesn't look good "on paper" - but in-game it is really cool and super-useful. I dream longingly of an X Duelist so I can max Charge, Backlash, and the passives.

I've been thinking about running a backlash sent for a while, but I haven't quite sussed out how to run her yet. Great thread BTW!

Yeah, I only got her at 3... saving all the MFs for UR character cards in hopes of getting her. Fortunately, at 3, it's just enough to give her full melee bonuses (up to X anyway). I've been practising with her on gold by charging at bosses and large groups of enemies in preparation for platinum. One of the few characters where timing is absolutely essential (and lag too). It's the way of the samurai - the line between life and death is razor thin!

Go for aegis strength and damage returned. I run her with 65546, moving points into reactive armor (6b). That dang Apex app has offensive biotics and tech armor flipped around, but I think that's the right order in-game. I find that it's not the build as much as how she's played that's important. The problem I had at first was that I relied too heavily on backlash and it kept breaking. This led to long cool downs, which left her defenseless. So now I always start with ED+throw combo to recharge shields and stun enemies, shoot, and use backlash to finish them off. Also, quickly getting into cover to minimize backlash's cool down. It's been a lot of fun (and funny at times) reflecting different enemy attacks against different targets. Like using the nullifier's energy ball to take out a destroyer's turret. Risky business, but oh so satisfying when it works out as planned.

A human Vanguard and a Human Engineer. I am happy that Vg does not face permadeath any more for any questionable judgment call & charge helps me with my abyssimal platforming. I like summoner classes, plus Engineer is the best looking human male so far, so it's a pleasure to play it aesthetically.
I also like the human Sentinel with his barricade as both offensive and defensive skill, but I have not yet mastered its placement, so...
i am yet to try non-humans seriously.

Set them on fire. Watch them do the burny dance. Finish off the survivors. Repeat. Loads of fun!

If they would allow for more customization of human classes, I would use more of a variety of classes. Regardless, the Human Juggernaut is already my favorite and he isn't even out yet. I like tanky human-soldier types. (Generally run Human Vanguard for golds and such)
