Parallels between Dead Space 3 and Mass Effect Andromeda

I recall EA stating, or an article quoting EA, that DS3 and Crysis 3 didn't meet expectations.

I have a different spin on the topic........who actually said Dead Space was cancelled???......and who actually said (if cancelled) it had anything to do with sales??
If you played Dead Space and it's DLC you'll know that the franchise came to an end,planet sized reapers ripped earth etc apart.....so how do you go forward with the franchise after such an epic finale?????....you can't,because it's the end.

The same happened with Mass Effect 3,it was designed to be the end,hence why no one thought the radical branching endings were a big deal.

People assume that due to poor sales Dead Space was cancelled but just like Mass3,both franchises reached their natural conclusions and were never intended to be continued.

If this is the case,then making comparisons between Andromeda and Dead Space are void and out of context......Dead Space reached it's logical end,where as Andromeda represents a new franchise beginning. Andromeda after all is a spin-off and not a continuation,so if comparisions are to be made,then it would make sense to compare Andromeda with other new franchises,which actually all suffer from poor sales at the start.

It is FAKE NEWS or rumor unless you provide substantive facts.

It's not even just that, the only journalist with apparent access to the information necessary actually had to revise their article away from such a stance.

I'm not really sure this spin has any legs. For one, EA didn't actually state in plain english that DS4 is cancelled but they did make it pretty clear that it hadn't come close to meeting their expectations, and, of course, it's been years without a peep.

Secondly... even if we accept that the conclusion of DS3 Awakening was really happening (and not an hallucination as has been done before at the end of a DS game, complete with the various auditory and visual interference that typically accompanies hallucinations in the DS universe - watch it carefully), you kind of need to actually establish that the end of Awakening actually works as a conclusion. I'm not sure you'd fine many people would be satisfied with the 'rocks fall everyone dies' approach (literally, in DS3A's case). The ME equivalent would be ME3 finishing just as Shep touches down in London.

I believe his point is two journalists have said the same so it's fact. It's not but still.

Perhaps. I dont see it as anything to celebrate though.
