Except that belief is based on zero credible evidence. Iit's based on the reporting by two different journalists, one that has been right about this sort of thing before and certainly has inside and/or close sources at Bioware. Yeah sorry no. Jason has been wrong before and has nothing to back up his claim. Eurogamer is doing the same thing he is.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Per the bit I quoted, the author of the Eurogamer article talked to his own source "close to Bioware" (whatever that might mean) who also told them that no DLC is being worked or on in the planning stage. Like I said, maybe both articles are wrong, but the Eurogamer story is not just basing their claim off of the Kotaku story. Sorry, I thought you were quoting both articles. My bad. Could be. Continued patches and Twitch streams would suggest there is still a presence at Montreal, but enough to make SP DLC? I have no idea. However, sources "close" to Bioware is where we got the whole KOTOR reboot hoax from, too (Kotaku as well) so I'll wait for sources inside Bioware to explain why they've spent so much time and effort patching animations, glitches, adding romance content, changing cinematic scenes, etc all for a "dead" game that has no people working at the studio if there'll be no DLC. That's reasonable enough. To be fair, though, not even JS in his Kotaku articles claimed that nobody was around working on patches, or even that the game was "dead". I honestly hope that we do get some high quality story-based DLC. If so, I will most likely buy it and play it. I'm just not expecting any to come at this point. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'd rather people showed support for DLC if there's a chance the future of the franchise is in jeopardy, rather than do nothing and have faith in something that might not happen.

We know perfectly well that, for a variety of reasons and no matter how much they'd like to, the developers of ME:A can't discuss future content. They can't discuss future SP content, they can't discuss future MP content — even stuff that players are aware of is coming through datamining. They've said that numerous times in regards to requests for info on future content. And the scum claiming that the game is dead know that. They're knowingly taking advantage of this to spread false information, knowing that by the time BioWare staff are allowed to refute their claims, they've gotten their clickbait revenue. They don't care if their lies causes strife in a fandom, damages a game's sales and reputation, and causes weeks of harassment and abuse towards developers. None of them as long as they can get clicks out of pandering to the internet circlejerk. Between Montreal Comic Con, SDCC, a chunk of future content confirmed for MP, and comic/novel tie-ins continuing along, literally the only reason to believe the game is dead is one person saying other people told him so, and a bunch of other clickbait peddlers regurgitating his claims. You would have to ignore the game obviously not being dead in BioWare's eyes to declare the game being dead. So if you're constantly badgering BioWare staff and official accounts on social media, if you're taking any moment where they're not announcing DLC to be a sign of doom, if you're whining about the game being "sacrificed" for Anthem or claiming that the game is dead in complete defiance of all evidence... ...then in the end, the people who want BioWare and the fandom to die are getting exactly what they want.So don't let them win. Don't do exactly what these scum want you to do. Don't react to their bullshit exactly how they want you to react. pretty much well said. The goals of the gaming journalists are transparent as hell. They have learned from their brethren in the 'main stream media' lie about something, create conflict, profit on the war. Though it's the fandoms reaction i don't entirely get. Yes i know some people hated the game so much they consider it an afront to gaming and there shouldn't be another one. So they want the game to fail and want to have others join them in it...but even if they do they'll never convince me to dislike it.

Well, I don't know if the game is dead, but I hope it is. It's been about time Bioware learned from their mistakes And what are those mistakes? Well, ME:A, to start with. I thought they learned it after releasing Dragon Age 2. And the endings of Mass Effect 3 and DA:I (the games were very good, but the endings... ugh).

On the face of it, what started as a reasonable point was marred by insulting a whole group of posters. There are reasonable people who both enjoy and don't enjoy the latest installment in the franchise. We're not going to have threads where the more aggressive members of both positions snipe at each other. So we're done here.
