Ok, so Im right in the beginning. Learning to pick locks, and pick pocket. and these are def not for me. I frustration quit the other day, because I was able to complete the first lockpick mission your sent to do. But then, had to reload because the guy teaching me to pick pocket ran for the gaurds. So I reloaded, and I I couldn't get a single lock picked! I tried 3-4 times, and just couldn't manage it. So I quit. I'm looking into mods atm, to help or replace the lockpick mini game. I wouldn't even mind so much, if it was a percentage chance thing. But this now is very frustrating. There are some mods which can make lockpicking either trivial or simply easier. That said, I found out that lowering the sensitivity of my mouse helps with accuracy during lockpicking, I basically lower the sensitivity to minimum during lockpicking (I have a button for that). As for lockpicking itself, you simply need to find the point where the dot becomes big and golden, and then you press D while you keep your pick at that angle relative to the turning lock. It took me a few tries to get the idea, and I still break lockpicks, but it doesn't seem impossible anymore. Oh I know the mechanics work. And I'm even doing the same thing I did before, when I managed to pick the locks previously. idk though, they just refused to open for me the second tme around.. And ofc, 5 tries before the pick breaks. It might not be so bad, if I could go buy an extra pick or 2. But I can't seem to find any place to buy some extras before I start trying to pick the locks.

Anyway, in my second playthrough I've ended up with a hammer yet again. What can I say - I'm just a blunt person. "To put it bluntly, you're dead" - you, 1403, somewhere in Bohemia.

I just find the sound of maces and hammers impacting so ... satisfying. Like they really have an impact. Brutal, consequent - no nonsense. I have yet to try axes.

I don't remember the name, but it's supposed to be an heirloom of some sort, the stats are probably among the best I've seen so far, including the top-tier swords you can buy. It is the best sword I found as well... The one for the relic quest...not so much.

The sword you are looking for in the relic quest is not as good. Yeah, but it's supposed to be blessed! (or something...) It's called "riposte" and that blesses every weapon.

Slowly progressing (very slowly. Damn you, school), I've just finished the quest with "witches". Lockpicking horse's arse was the fastest sex scene I've ever seen.

I'm very curious. Has no one chosen the chicken? I went with the hog because I wanted some of dat bacon! What happens if you choose the chicken? It's just that everyone seems to go for the horse. I was wondering if there's any difference with the other two but probably not; you'll still get the PP thing.

Another patch; * The game now has Save and Exit feature. * Saving is much more robust and saves won't get corrupted even if the game crashes while saving. * Performance improved * LoD switching tweaked, reducing pop-in and improving texture streaming. * Stuttering in some areas reduced. * Slightly smoother framerate on Vsync 30. (Consoles and some PCs) * Improved lockpicking * New interface design makes it much easier to hold the sweet spot while turning the lock. * Easy and Very Easy trunks are now easier to lockpick when playing with controller. (Mouse difficulty unchanged) * Improved pickpocketing * You will no longer get caught if you stop at the beginning of the minigame. (Unless someone sees you) * The risk indicator is now much more precise. When green, you are sure not to get caught. * Alchemy bench will no longer shoot you into the air. * The last quest with Lord Capon is now visible on the map when he is ready to assign it to you. * Guards won't frisk you so often. * Your horse shouldn't get stuck when jumping fences. * Horse items are cleaned along with player items in bathhouses. * You can see when looking at a bed whether it will save your game. * You can sleep on beds without having to sit down first. * Levelling up stealth by sneaking past enemies is more consistent. * Sneaking past sleeping NPCs is now easier. * Some easily accessible trunks with extremely good loot have been removed. ** Cave mushrooms can now be found in many other damp places. * You can no longer autocook potions that you haven't brewed by hand at least once before. * German voiceovers will no longer cut off in mid-sentence in cutscenes. * Late game player strength tweaked * Some combat perks that were unintentionally overpowered were tuned down. * Weapons scale less with high-level stats. * It should now be much harder to kill high-level enemies with one hit. (Unless they're helmetless. Stupid Runt...) * Other combat system tweaks * "Untargeted attack" exploit fixed. * Enemy combat archery AI improved. * Guards now react to combat more aggressively. * And many other minor tweaks. * (PC only) It is now possible to select different types of anti-aliasing. * (PC only) It is now possible to set VSync to 30 or 60, or disable it completely. * (PC only) Steam Cloud saving enabled. * And over 300 other fixes in various quests. ** Improved CPU load balancing - better performance. * Turkish subtitles added. ***** I wish they would list the quests that's fixed and I supposed by free chests with good loot meant the one with the St George longsword is gone. And I doubt anybody understood the 'and many other minor tweaks'. eh?

...I think I was just raped.
Or IDK what else to call it when a barely conscious player character gets mounted by some lady without the player being asked whether they want to stick their ding-a-ling into her hoo-hah or not.
At least there was some logical, albeit sudden and unexpected nudity after I was just a bit earlier mentally laughing about how silly it was for Henry and Capon to be bathing while still wearing long sleeved shirts and pants.

Well I am getting to officially review it now.
The game picked up a bit after a really rough middle, but its still pretty...I don't know it is just missing something for me, i'm not connecting with it as I was in the beginning of the game.

Well the latest patch fixed the quest I was stuck on and I finally got to finish the main quest and can't help but feel the ending was a little underwhelming, in the end nothing gets resolved and the ending is left open for a sequel.
In the end however I would say it was an enjoyable game and there are quite a few interesting things that I would like to see other games take note of, however there is also a lot of room for improvement in many other areas.
