Ugh, I watched SoT on Twitch and fell off my chair. Please don't tell me I'm going to see more stuff in the sequel.

I don't know the first one, give me the elevator pitch, what is this game? South Park in a game. The anal probe sequence was censored in Europe, sadly

I don't know the first one, give me the elevator pitch, what is this game? Basically a 20 hour crazy as fuck South Park episode with surprisingly enjoyable turn-based combat and RPG mechanics. Basically, if you enjoy the show you'd probably find it a lot of fun. Also, there's like the hottest sex scene ever ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and the most beautiful abortion scene

Man it would be hilarious if in this game Terrance and Phillip lose their jobs because their jokes are too offensive and the government decides to censor them.

I don't like the fact that making your character black increases the difficulty level.

I don't like the fact that making your character black increases the difficulty level. Why? It doesn't affect combat. Perfectly reasonable satire to me.

Well I don't like the game being super easy for being white. But aparently, gameplay wise, the only thing difficulty seems to affect is how much money you make on an average.

Ran a Stick of Truth playthrough as a female protagonist (and ginger, my usual roleplaying preference ) Now that the Fractured But Whole is proposing in its character creation that you could have been female all along, well... that takes a significant amount of head canon to explain away that everyone else thinks you're a boy, but I guess in South Park, it's just about passable.

Nah, it would be just a retcon. The protagonist own parents refer to him as, well, "him".

So I checked the page of the game on Steam as I'm considering buying it - it looks potentially entertaining, and apparently has the base DRM of Steam, in addition to Denuvou AND the Ubisoft program. Sigh. Yeah, Stick of Truth does not require UPlay but was pretty disappointed to find that I needed it for Fractured But Whole. Oh well, I take it you can change classes whenever you want in the new game without any sort of penalty? Edit: actually now that I have played through the game if you have not played Stick of Truth I definitely recommend playing that first as I feel it is definitely the better of the 2, can only really recommend the second one if you are desperate for more South Park.

Full week, but this weekend the "Hole" will be mine. Give something for my husband and I to laugh at. We may be old(er), yet we will never stop appreciating bodily humor (besides, Matt and Trey can be quite clever ).

As much as I hate to be the guy that hates on sequels, I do have to say Stick of Truth was the better game i.imgur.com/7dqPq4K.jpgThat is not to say the sequel was bad, just nowhere near as the first game, I think they nailed it the first time and in trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice lost something along the way. I think the first game had the benefit of being the first real attempt at capturing the spirit of South Park in a video game and had around 16 to 17 seasons worth of content to draw from and they took all the best stuff while this game not wanting to tread the same ground only had the last 3 or 4 seasons to draw from as well as the less memorable elements of the previous seasons to draw on. Also there was some really great video game specific humour in the first game where they made fun of a lot of video game tropes in a way that only South Park could, there was really none of that in this game, at least nothing that stood out to me. As for the gameplay itself there is not a lot to say, quest structure and exploration remain functionally the same even if they lack some of the charm of the original, they did try to make combat more complex but not entirely sure they succeeded in making it more fun, personally I think I prefer the simplistic nature of the first one as although the combat is more complex in this game it is nowhere near complex enough to make it strategically complex and rewarding like games like Xcom or Divinity: Original Sin yet it is just complex enough to make fights drag out and feel tedious after a few combat encounters. Besides I just feel the combat animations in Stick of Truth had more charm capturing the essence of children playing make believe in the twisted South Park style. In the end Fractured but Whole isn't a horrible game, but it really isn't that great either, only really for fans of the show and while I suppose the same could be said for Stick of Truth the difference is Stick of Truth will rekindle your love for the show while Fractured but Whole will only scratch an itch for those wanting more South Park.

I found it refreshing ( SoT), even though I'm not a fan of the show. Satire rpgs are simply too damn few, and this was nice change of pace to play something designed to be simply fun. Combat definitely dragged too much.
