Just let it go like an old stray dog on the way to the dog pound for permanent sleep, because these dogs in this game aren't going nowhere but up your leg... and go play Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and ME3mp instead.

Platinum has actually made it really, really obvious that dogs DO SPAWN BEHIND YOU despite what Bioware said in one of the streams.

However, will be playing that next again since DS3 doesn't seem so bad now that I'm playing the through the letdown that is Bloodborne.

No idea about DS1 or 2 because my interest in playing fucking awful console ports is limited, thanks Namco "can't be arsed to do anything properly" Bandai. DS3 works well on KB+M though, and going in without typical series fandom nostalgia goggles helped me have a blast (inb4 filthy casuls ruining my souls gamez, nothing is harder than pikachu and snorlax). Based on what I've seen of Bloodborne, I think I'd like it, but as per usual, Sony are the semen stains on the used underwear of humanity*, and decided to make it a PS4 exclusive. *In case you were wondering, EA are the skid marks.

DS1 can be a fine port if you mod for hi-res textures and actual 60fps (can't believe this game was released on PC with 30fps limit). DS2 is a fine enough PC port, especially the improved DS2 SotfS Edition. Plus there's still graphical mods for it too. Though if you're talking playing with mouse and key over a nice firm joypad, then we have nothing further to discuss. You're loss. I highly recommend DS1 & 2 for PC. Love it way more then DS3. DS3 was a major letdown. Still, now that I'm finally playing Bloodborne: Prepare to Visine Edition, DS3 all of a sudden looks way better. Can't wait to play it again next after I finish Bloodborne: Overrated by Sony Boot Lickers Edition.

The fact that some ports get KB+M right like DS3 suggests the issue is really with the lazy shitbrained studios that these ports get outsourced to. Perhaps one day I'll go back and do DS1&2 for the atmosphere and lore. What's so bad about Bloodborne though? The amount of fanboyism that game generates, I assumed it was a masterpiece.

Perhaps one day I'll go back and do DS1&2 for the atmosphere and lore. What's so bad about Bloodborne though? The amount of fanboyism that game generates, I assumed it was a masterpiece. Well From Software are Japanese developers. They tend to favor controllers. Also Dark Souls 1 wasn't supposed to get a PC port, but fans made a petition to get a PC port and From Software listened - so better rushed then nothing. NOW ALL ABOUT BLOODBORNE; Well outside the terrible frame rate that actually requires visine for the eyes, something I've never experienced before (it's the frame pacing that's causing the illusion of serious frame loss, guess too many duplicates of the same frame in combination with very detailed graphics like flickering fences/shiny surfaces really strain the eyes). First, subjective; I don't like the London England Victorian age setting. This is actually why I had the game since a week before Andromeda before I finally decided to play it already. DS series setting is much more preferred plus provides further variety in setting and enemies missing in this game. Now more objective speaking; it's like this is an experiment from From Software & Sony to reach out to casuals more (it is an industry norm, after all). Would explain a lot of things. Casuals like faster flashier paced action games VS the slower more methodical Dark Souls pace (thought DS3 speeds things up too). RPG elements and gameplay are streamlined more (like armor that can't be upgraded and only like 15 weapons total) - and though I'm in favor of more streamlined gameplay if it equals tighter more balanced gameplay, this is not the case here; In DS2 folks complained of too many humanoid bosses, yet humanoid bosses in DS1 like Artorias were the best - two of my fave bosses are human in DS2 personally. But I hear no one complaining about too many on all four dog bosses in Bloodborne, as these were my first 3 of 4 bosses in Bloodborne. Very boring and tedious to fight these dmg soak bosses in Bloodborne that all they do for attacks in spaz out. Combine the tight fighting arena that has the camera spaz out too in lovely low frames three (DO NOT lock on camera in boss arenas). How much dmg soak? I recall summoning someone to help me with the last dog boss, and buddy died pretty quick. I was like no way and just gave up because when another player joins to help they add to the boss dmg, so I would have been way better to start boss solo. Granted doing counter attack dmg does way more dmg to bosses, but this is not something new players get the hang of right away, so it's something that works against reaching for the casual crowd goal From Software & Sony had in mind. Though parry and countering in Bloodborne is more forgiving, if more limited (finite amount of bullets that are required for counters), because it you shoot from enough distance and mistime the parry, the enemy might still be far enough to miss you. While in Dark Souls if you mistime a shield parry, you take a hit. There really isn't any penalty for death in this game, save for losing your money. So no soft humanity system or whatever here. Not complaining here, just that it shows the more casual aim I see persist throughout. So far the game has been 100% linear. DS3 is pretty linear too. There's good and bad to this; the good is that the players remain more within summing range of other online players and therefore less fragmented. And the bad is, well, more linear. I dislike how healing items are now only consumables at a crazy high 20 limit (overflow goes automatically into storing chest) and enemies frequently drop healing items 1-4.

This is why this game is so much more convenient for characters that has some kind of cloak or instant healing ability. (with exception of Flak Cannon classes which can crowd control like no other)
Playing characters like Salarian Architect, Krogan Engineer or Human soldier can be fun... but also extremely annoying when 3 raiders appear right behind you after you kill 3 of them.
