It's like the bullets just evaporate when your target is medium distance away from where u stand. The P.A.W, Shadow, even the Scattershot (a shotgun) has more range than this pistol. You'd think the Equalizer's bullet spread would simply become wider and less accurate at a greater distance but they don't. The projectiles simply cease to exist if you're trying to hit a target that's more than 30 metres away. Is this a bug that Bioware isn't aware of? Or is it supposed to be odd like this? It's bullets are projectiles yet it behaves more a Reegar Carbine which uses a short-range a stream.

Balance-wise it used to make sense as it was one of the stronger weapons, but it's kind of fallen off since everything else got buffs.

Remnant weapons are sorely lacking campared to MW and Helius ones.

Stupid range. Only makes sense from a strict gamedesign perspective.

Same reason why there are guns (in both ME3MP and MEAMP) with a weird ass mini-delay after pulling the trigger. Or why there was a shotgun that could only fire one shot before requiring a reload.
It's BioWare's idea of game balance. Apparently guns that perform well in one aspect - as the Equalizer did before everything else caught up - must have some weakness to make up for it.
Other games simply vary their available weapons in giving them different roles in different situations without going to this extreme.

Stop whining. It's better than most ARs even with its limited range.
I disagree that remnant weapons are inferior... Shadow, equalizer, scattershot, and to a lesser extent the PAW are all good. They all get a damage bonus to shields too.
Put the equalizer on a turbocharge kit and wreck shit. It's plenty powerful for a sidearm even without turbo. The range is pretty easy to manage, it's super accurate

How about the Inferno these days? I have the feeling it's in need of a buff too, especially when the Shadow seems to be superior.

Meh, it primes, it can be swept sideways to get any of those pesky "1% still alive" things out of the way, ... It does it's job.

The PAW is far and away the best assault rifle there is, and the inferno and shadow are god Tier amongst sniper rifles. They do need to do something with the sweeper though, that thing is still garbage

It is basically a shotgun alternative for vanguards. It's OK in single player because it's easy and fights are much shorter, but in multiplayer the range limitation is highly annoying.

They do need to do something with the sweeper though, that thing is still garbage Agreed with all but the bold. That part's just silly. If you want a moderate-damage, quick-priming weapon, the PAW is peerless among the ARs. If you want to actually kill shit quickly with your gun, very much not so. Soned, Revenant, Cyclone, and Thokin all outdamage the PAW. Valkyrie is excellent if you can consistently land headshots. The PAW's principal advantage against the field aside from priming was accuracy, but that's been largely erased with the new AR scopeless accuracy mod. Further factoring in that upwards of 95% of the playerbase have the PAW at much lower level than most of the other options above makes the comparison even less favorable in practical terms. It's certainly good, but best by a wide margin? No.

I agree with Darxtryder; the PAW is my preferred AR. No others compare even remotely. Soned I seemed useless outside short range, the Cyclone is a BB gun in terms of damage (even with turbocharge), and the Thokin has extremely limited ammo capacity + slow tracking ammo at long range. The Revenant is OK in a kit with turbocharge, but unlike the PAW it NEEDS turbocharge. I melt enemies with the PAW on any kit; it doesn't need turbocharge or cloak at all. In addition, the PAW doesn't need to be reloaded and in MEA that's a huge advantage with no reload cancel. Great accuracy and priming puts the PAW leagues ahead of all other ARs.
