Saw a tier list recently on here which listed all the cloak characters on top tier. But, for those who've left the town of scrubville and know something about what to do in platinum, please feel free to comment on the accuracy of this list.
(Weighted for multiple criteria - DPS, team support, survivability, etc)
Top Tier: Batarian Scrapper, Human Sentinel, Turian Agent, Angara Exemplar, Salarian Operator, Krogan Merc, Turian Soldier, Human Soldier, Salarian Inf, Human Infiltrator, Angara Avenger, Krogan Vangaurd
High Tier: Turian Havoc , Asari Sentinel, Human Engineer, Angara Insurgent, Asari Huntress, Human vangaurd, Human Adept, Krogan Engineer, Asari Adept
Mid Tier: Salarian Architect, Asari Duelist, Krogan Gladiator
Low Tier: Human Kineticist (ultra-rare platinum trash!!)

Turian Soldier is Top Tier. Great DPS and Survivability. Some support via sustained fire. I don't build with frags and I still expect to top score. Little utility on objectives or revives, but that's the same as all the non-stealths in the Top Tier.

Everything with barricade goes in the same tier (second tier) and my god, the exemplar is trash on platinum. Why do people think that is a good character? I have no idea....tech combos do next to nothing. Putting him in tier 1 is a howitzer!

Ponytail, Insurgent and Tsol are beasts in platinum. They should be top tier. Also I would bump the asari adept one tier higher. I still have to try a bunch of other characters in platinum like the krogan and human engineers but it is tough to do so with PUGs.

JulianVerse First, congrats, that looks like a hell of a game. I'm surprised by the wide range of scores possible for successful Platinum runs. I don't usually take screenshots (I only did cuz I joined a PUG that had JRandall0308 in it), but we took a little less than a minute more than you and had nearly 10k less points per person across the board. I know Assist points add up but geez... Edit: 2) was an Avenger.

How did you complete the hack and where was it? I am being facetious if you didn't know. I know you didn't get a hack because the picture shows you completing the game. Almost 18 minutes vs outlaw without a hack on magma is a pretty long game. Adept isn't a great character on platinum. Viable but not great and she scores tons of double-dip assist points. Not to mention, this is most likely the headshot multiplier game which is really easy. Your credits are more than 125K and this game mode is like playing gold when you aim for the face. Human adept is a B level double dipper.

Its easy mode and they didn't get a hack.

I am not sure what the obsession is with tier lists but regarding the game rtrnofdmax and I were in, the score was lower because of 2 infiltrators (so not combo-ing with anyone) and because I spent a lot of the match facedown on the ground like a cheap hooker resting comfortably (so also not contributing points). Anyway the assist points from Human Adept or Asari Adept (or Krogan Gladiator, I guess) is *immense*. It is always *way* more than you think it's going to be.

The platinum build for the exemplar is 6 (Barricade/electric stun), 6 (Prime and Team Drain), 1 (Overload), 6, 6 Great support build, Survives incredibly well (barricade and constant energy drain), offers good team support (constant team drain), causes extra commotion and many setups/stuns for the team with the constant tech combos. Throw a Dhan on the boy as well.

Its fun ranking things and its very apparent some classes are a hell of a lot better on platinum than others. Plus when someone comes in here and tells you X is the most amazing character on platinum and you skeptically scoff and dismiss them out of hand like me --- you could still learn something. Its good to see players using different characters in platinum and even arguing they are tier 2 or so on.

It serves its purpose in that capacity fine but tech combos are not very good outside of remnant shields IMO and even there, the stupid amounts of health on those bullet sponges make everything meh. Every tech combo set off is like a half damage dhan shot. I just don't see how its tier one. Tier 2 due to the barricade and quick combos but thats it.

Its good to see players using different characters in platinum. QFT. I still pug a lot of my games and I'm astonished by the people who think you have to play a certain kit to do Platinum. I kept dropping from the lobby the other day cuz I could only find games with 3 stealths in them. On the other hand, I had a group last night with two friends and when we opened the lobby for a 4th, I said, "It would be nice to get one stealth class." Sure enough...

Human adept is a B level double dipper. It was the headshot multiplier, which definitely made it easier, but I've done plenty of platinum runs with the adept. This was actually the 2nd one in a row that we did with the 2 adepts, but the first one had no hacks and I accidentally saved over the screenshot with this. 2 hacks, wave 4, wave 6. Both fairly favorable locations. Wave 4 was in the tiny room in the center back, wave 6 was in the semi-open room right next to that. Wave 4 was a full camp, wave 6, we camped the 2 adepts while the other 2 were on the other side of the map until there were ~90 seconds left and I asked for help bc we were only 50% through. The operator camped with us and the havoc darted between in the circle and just outside doing his hover fire. Great success. I have video of 3.5 minutes of wave 6 before it cut off due to not clearing out room on my SSD bc I also torrent there. =\

No camping required, you can run/evade (good run speed and evade DR) up to a group pop your barricade, cause a group stun and keep at it with other stuns. Guy is extremely useful on objectives. In addition, he has the group DR (bioelectric ward). Its best to not use him with pugs, but, for a group of folks on a friend list who strategize/talk on a mic, he's that good. His DPS is a bit lower, but, DPS alone doesn't get one far enough for wave 7 platinum extraction.

Having a dhan with tech combos between shots is better than just having a dhan. He has very good aoe stun effects that makes him very good at getting out of trouble, and is overall has very good resilience while boosting the survivability of the team as a whole, which is useful when the team has glass cannon characters mixed in.

From my very, very limited platinum experience, the key thing a class needs is an "OH SH!!" power - something you can do to take an enemy down RIGHT NOW, or get out of the middle of some insane jam. Cloaks are obviously really good at that.
Platinum feels sort of "normal" until all of a sudden it isn't and you are being shot from 50 sides at once. The ability to deal with that is key. (At least for me.)

I am curious what are everyone's favorite non-UR siphon guns for plat. Besides Shadow, obviously. Depends on the kit/character I'm bringing. Mostly it's my Kineticist, so I bring the Scorpion; as I play her standoff'ish. As its AoE allows the health restoration to occur more than just the one hit on the main target. And it's pretty accurate during blind fire. The only other (non Shadow) weapon I'm satisfied with for use as a health restorer is the Raptor. As it's blind and hipfire are fairly steady and often returns back a fair bit of health per clip. Haven't tried the others yet, but I'd imagine the Equalizer would be fairly good, but heavily range dependent (another reason I prefer the Raptor over it).

You rank the asari sentinel above the asari huntress for platinum?
Mind you, energy drain is nice, but it's not going to help much against +1000% enemy melee damage (for example).
I also am not sure about some of the rest of that (for example, ranking the kineticist above the huntress). Personally, the huntress is my favorite platinum class (but I imagine I will prefer the avenger once i've accumulated enough avenger veteran ranks).

So I just got out of a pug platinum game where a human vanguard topped the scorecharts with a Scattershot/Hurricaine. Wish there was a way to see other people's skill selections in game, woulda been nice to see if he was gun, melee, or power specced.
