One of the more heartfelt moments in ME3...I loved Samara throughout this clip....especially towards the end.....she struggles with the code but you can tell she loves her daughters immensely.....that embrace towards the end there was beautiful....  ....this is the type of stuff missing from Andromeda.... |

ME3 and the moment when I said to Miri that I don't want to continue our relationship from ME2. I was devastated when I saw her tears... More shocking was for me, that straight away I tried to revert that STUPID decision but I found out that I was playing on ONE save-game only, and it was automatically saved after I left the room... i finished that PT, but emotionally from that very moment game was over for me.
I learned 2 things: do many different saves as often as possible and Miri in ME3, even barely seen, is still the best girl in the town.

Note: I started this collection of 100 Mass Effect memories with the notion that I'd alternate clips and incidents from the 4 games fairly equally (25 each). In trying to actually do that, I'm running into 2 problems: - The game is still too new to 'spoil' some of the story beats, so I'm picking clips that are either earlier in the game,
or are shorter so that they give a sense of the moment without giving too much away, and - The moments from the trilogy are so much more obvious and easier to pick, I could pick 50 moments from each of those games, while I think I'd struggle to pick 25 moments from MEA (and I like the game).
So that's why the picks aren't quite equal.

Tali's death was the biggest "you fucked up' moment of any Bioware game. I didn't get it in game but someone linked me to a YouTube video. I've only ever watched that clip once and I never will again. It's probably my most powerful ME memory. A very distant second 'you fucked up' moment in a Bioware game was romancing The Iron Bull and choosing the Qunari (or not romancing him but taking Dorian) then following Solas in the DLC But the emotional impact of that wasn't even close. |
