Andromeda Character You Would Have Over OT Character

First off - OP, what a fun topic.

As ot the question, I repeated it above so I could sit and focus on replacing just one and only one OT character with an Andromeda one while still playing the OT.  I've decided to do it game by game.

ME1 - I would replace Liara with PeeBee... get rid of the fawning love-struck virgin and replace her with an adventuresome, energetic academic.  A personality to actually challenge Shepard a bit.  My Shepard would have fallen for her instantly and Ashley would have really had a tough time competing for his attention.  As it was, I never felt that any personality of Shepard I had in ME1 would have found such a naive fawning puppy as Liara the least bit interesting.

ME2 - I would replace Jacob with Liam (but made sure to send the ugly couch off to Andromeda... and maybe kept the car in cargo instead - Titanic love scene for FemShep anyone?).  I would not have, however, made PeeBee into the Shadow Broker, but added her to the crew after overthrowing the Shadow Broker.  In taking out the Shadow Broker, she would have already been chasing down tech to help with the Reapers rather than merely trying to free someone.

ME3 - I would definitely replace Allers with T'Vessa... but my preferred reporter is still actually Al-Jilani.  I would have loved an opportunity to evolve this "spicy" relationship into a romance in ME3.  PeeBee, by then, would have independently invented the Crucible weapon by continuing her research throughout ME2.

MEA - I would replace Kallo with Joker (and made him romanceable for FemRyder).  Kallo just really didn't do it for me as a pilot and I think Joker would have been a great personality to pit off against Gil.  (Since Joker would have left for Andromeda while Shepard was in lockup on earth, Shepard would need to promote Steve to Normandy's pilot in ME3).  To have a Salarian around, I would have also replaced Lexi with a Mordin-esque salarian medical doctor.  Ryder would also need different crew replacements for PeeBee and Liam, who would now have been left behind in the MW... So, Liara would have joined the initiative after having developed a theory that some Protheans had headed off to Andromeda before the Reaper harvest 50,000 years earlier.  Jaal would have instantly fallen in love with her, but not Ryder.  Ryder romancing Jaal would then involve drawing him away from Liara.  Jacob would replace Liam, but Jacob would be given a more roguish personality this time around.  Cora's personality would be spicier and, rather than being enamored with Asari, she'd be totally cynical about them (a more ME1 Ashley-esque character).  Allers would be on the Nexus, but Ryder would take great pleasure in ending every interview attempt by punching her lights out.

The only ones, that would probably not like Jaal on the Normandy, would be Jack and Javik.

For MEA to ME3, I'd swap the VS for Cora, so I could parade her in front of the Illusive Man and watch his reaction (it can't be coincidence dammit!)


As for MET to MEA, I'd probably swap Liara for Liam. Not because I particularly love Liara. How much shit would the Kett be in if the Initiative had brought someone with Warp and Warp Ammo?

Replace Zaheed with Drack
Replace Jacob with Jaal

Nothing hard about this:
Replace Cora with Shepard.
Replace Liam with Garrus.
Replace P.B. with Wrex.
Replace Vetra with Grunt.

Now got the KF with it as well.

I'd probably trade Vega for Peebee. I don't like Peebee all that much and Vega was an ok character but nothing special. But it would've been interesting having two asari on the ship. This would of course require them to actually do stuff together lol...

So many of the Andromeda characters are already just retreads of characters done better in the OT. Sure it'd be more fun to trade out Jacob for Drack, but there's nothing gained in that. We already have a kick ass grandpa who is too old for this shit, two of them even (though one is a kick ass grandma)

Good question. I've been thinking about it and I can't think of a really good one. Maybe Cora over Ashley/Kaiden?

Cora might be fun because Javik would totally stomp on her asari fangirling.
