Well, why not have someone fire a missile up your ass and see if it does bonus damage? Well if its a cobra RPG then we have nothing to fear

HEY HOW 'BOUT THAT HYDRA? Why it have 3 eyes? Robot eyes better than human eyes, not worse, should only need 1 eye not 3? Hydra make no sense! Those are weapons. They also seem to be weakspots if you shot them just before it fires.

Because Bioware says so lol. This is off topic, but I think the hydra is a little bit of a let down version from the mechs from ME3. It just feels weaker actually.

If anyone at bioware is serial having trouble replicating the off-host weakspot issue, it's most noticeable (for me) trying to hit the hydra targeting laser. It literally is plain as day because there's a noticeable visual effect when it registers correctly.
Take an automatic weapon off-host and see. It's infuriating.

Why is the Hydra's weakspot on its back? I have to go around to flank it and who has time for that? Or shoot some tiny part that's sticking up from the front? With the way off-host aiming works I don't think so. Why is it called a Hydra, btw?

Ah yes, I had sort of forgotten about that... But now that you mention it... I can make sense of the name Atlas (big, hulky, able to carry the weight of the world {although they weren't exactly beefy as I seem to recall}) but I have often wondered about choosing the name Cerberus as well: how are they the 'Hound of Hades'? Now, Carnifex is a name would deem appropriate (in ME3, anyway). Back to Hydra: has only one head, doesn't regenerate and doesn't resemble anything serpentine...

Why Turian Councilor use air quotes? He learn from humans? But humans new on galactic scene in Mass Effect 1! How Turians have time to learn air quotes? Air quotes are a universal concept in "communication"

With the way off-host aiming works I don't think so. "Lorewise," the back is a coolant tank. Strategy-wise, coordinating with a teammate is relatively easy (at least compared to other enemy times) due to how slow and seemingly "dumb" hydra AI is. In otherwords do this: On a related note, does anyone know if Hydras are AI driven in game? Or do they have Pilots like Atluses? I think there piloted, but unlike the Atlas there is no viewable cockpit. Always thought it would have been cool in ME3's MP if you could drill out Atlas pilots like in the single player and steal the Atlas. Good times lol
