No New Character Today?

Disappointing but it's Ultra-Rare so you might not have unlocked it anyway.

The pattern is one character kit per month. I was hoping they would break the pattern and release it today since the Apex mission debriefs were looking that way and Billy stated that they "heard the feedback" that new content wasn't coming quickly enough but it looks like I was wrong. I'm disappointed because I'm off this week but this IS in keeping with the usual schedule.

I doubt I will play this week.

Yea, they did skip a week here and there in the past. Also seems unlikely they'd release something like that when the stream is down.

I don't doubt that we'll get the second one at some point, I'm just wondering if there's sufficient cause to believe he's next in line to be released.

Story leading up to it = sufficient cause, for those who believe.

Fair enough. It wasn't my intent to be a contrarian (this one time), I just never bother to read the APEX flavor text, so I wasn't aware of the degree to which they'd telegraphed it.

The below-linked blog post suggests he was supposed to come out already. BW Montreal seems to have their shit together even less than usual.

This new APEX mission description says:

"Join a critical mission and secure an escape route for a trapped APEX squad."

So maybe this squad might actually be the 5 human characters that were datamined. It even takes place on the same map (Firebase Nimbus) that was used for rescuing the Batarian that stole the ship. This might mean the two are connected. It's possible (though probably not likely) that they [Bioware] intended to release all the characters at once.

On a small note, in case no ones noticed or heard about it, but in the demonstration video for Snap Freeze, you can clearly see a human character wearing Remnant Armor. He's using snap-freeze as well; showing that it's indeed the Human Juggernaut.

EDIT: I need to correct myself. The APEX mission involving the Batarian was us following his footsteps, not that we were rescuing him. This could mean that we get the human characters first; instead of the Batarian. Personally, I don't care at this point who we get, just as long as we have more characters.

I wish for Quarians or Drell. Maybe even a Volus. MEA really lacks the old races, I don't expect Geth, but Quarians are iconic for the Mass Effect series. They should bring a DLC and use the models for MP characters.

And bring back the Acolythe and Graal spike thrower. The Ruzad is better now, but the Graal is a weapon meant for true Krogans.
