My biggest problem with cultural appropriation is that it's often not successfully appropriated, we're told that it is, that this is "authentic" but it's not important pieces are missing. For instance, cultures that are often liberal or tolerant towards people of diverse backgrounds as part of institutions, when that is transplanted somehow becomes "white only."

I also believe now that there are also simply cultures that are unappropriateable, that is to say, the essence of their core ideals is that they cannot be simply com modified.

I mean, that sure doesn't stop people from trying, but it's an impossible task from the outset.

hmm well the natural law of the universe is that you evolve adapt and overcome challenges or you disappear, so observing things and deciding there "worth adopting" isn't a strange idea and that you alter the thing you adopt to make it a better fit for your own way of life isn't strange, the problems only really come if you try and then force others to follow you new way of thinking about their original idea....

gamers can be odd and dangerous but they can also be enhanced more altruistic people ....

some folks would be crazed killers if they didn't have access to video games to use as an out let for their frustrations and to let of steam in a harmless way... others are loopy loo's that see them as a blueprint to inspire dangerous actions, perhaps you should only be afraid of gamers that play violent games who don't have a job

just because your paranoid doesn't mean there not out to get you!

If you want to be "French" the best way to do that is admit you are a low life pornographer and marry a porn actress, your child genetically combining has the best chance of being "French" Actually if you are a major time douchebag and she is a really successful big titted porn actress then you might even roll better than French.

If you marry and screw a "French woman" and try to adopt a "French lifestyle" the genetic combination is worse and the relationship is a bad fit.

It kind of makes sense right? If your personality is to appropriate things, steal, or otherwise not be honest with yourself, then your best match is a woman (or guy) that also like to steal or otherwise not be honest with themselves.

Finally, as stated, appropriaters literally have no idea what the hell they are doing most of the time, like I was saying before Star Fox is a better franchise than Zelda pretty much, but the appropriaters only use metrics like sales and google hits and whatever else to figure this stuff out so they don't really know what they are doing.

It all stems from failing to admit they are members of the slave class, in fact, most of the time they end up appropriating slave concepts and institutions unthinkingly most of the time anyway.
