Please help me like the Iggle

I find it functions pretty well as a pistol sidearm. It probably helps that most of my Uncommon and rare weapons are still ranked 1-4, so even a rank 1 ultra rare will be quite a step up.

Still, it serves a highly versatile role as a sidearm, with the accuracy to hit targets at a distance, enough damage to be noticeable, and is serviceable for priming targets.

That's probably not much of a defense considering that it's an Ultra-Rare, but being able to perform a few functions reliably is not something that I would say of most other MEA pistols (at least not at the ranks that I have them.)

It can't be defended, which is sad. There were arguments for it before the bloom reductions, but it lost that niche as good midrange auto. I also have done some calculations for its DPS against armor, and even there it doesn't pull close to the Hurricane and Rozerad. Not even if you assume you have no damage boosts, just base weapon damage.

I think we all agree that we don't want to go back to the days of the Hurricane not being able to hit anything outside of 10m, so the Eagle needs a straight damage boost because the increased accuracy doesn't save it.
