Please help me like the Iggle

So, I had a run of luck (?) last night and pulled 4 URs in the span of 6 packs. Inferno VII and VIII were among them (yay!), but the Eagle VII and VIII were as well (boo, hiss, etc.).

I've generally tried to consciously steer away from the tendency to equip Hurricane/Dhan/Shadow on everything in the interest of avoiding stagnation, so I use a pretty fair assortment of guns routinely. But the Eagle's never really been among them, at least prominently; I've maybe used it a dozen times.

Unless it has any hidden attributes of which I'm unaware, it's essentially a slightly-lighter automatic Mattock:

Eagle VIII:

Mattock X:

It's certainly serviceable on Gold, but I can't really think of a niche for it on Plat. It doesn't feel like it does quite enough damage to use to good effect on weapon-centric characters, and it's vastly outclassed by its peers (Hurricane, Rozerad, Equalizer, even Ghost and Avenger) as a primer for casters.

Buuuut, I'm closing in on maxing it, which means in the very near future (hopefully not before Hurricane IX and X drop) my personal drop pool is going to expand to include its variants. I'd like to find some use for it so those drops don't irritate me as much as Bulwark Fucking Valyries do.

Does anyone find it shines on certain characters or builds, or in certain situations? Mod suggestions? I ran it last night (on Gold) with both barrel/clip and barrel/no-scope accuracy mod combinations. The former felt a touch too inaccurate for consistent headhunting, and the latter led to a lot of almost-dead enemies when my clip ran out. And again, that was on Gold.  Help me like this gun on Plat, please.
