In fact it's not that hard per se (sounding like an arrogant d!ck, I know, but even I did it on the 3rd try iirc). You need patience, endurance and a good portion of luck because Devices, a decent surprising trollspawn or 2x Targets without missiles left and next to no killing power can be kind of a show stopper.

I remember that i got two times devices on plat when i did annihilation challenge.Glacier and devices=fu***g nightmare,but managed to do it somehow.Also i got 2xtargets N1 3-TGI.The second targets were on 10 wave and only 3 rockets left,so i had to kill one praetorian only with phaeston and to clear the wave with it. And many other examples like this.And you want modded objectives? Nooooo

Well Speedrunning is speedrunning ... I dont care anyway, i dont think i ll grind them more

II. End Scene (Human Male Infiltrator with Black Widow)

Whew... that was unnerving. It took me 2 tries to finish this challenge. On a first try I got 2x devices. I got down at the end of 4th coz I was a bit cocky. Well, it's silver, I can do this before they kill me. So next time I was a bit wiser and kited toasters to the other side of a map. Since I didn't have to get a grab medal I nuked wave 8 and 9. Left with 3 missiles on a wave 10 I could force my way through with escort. Also seeing this was a relief. 10WS dammit

Believe me,i did that challenge 3 times-2 on gold and once on plat.On plat from second try.You just need to be concentrated.Shield boost,TC,run and shot.Also you have stasis.

What else to say? Muah, Frank - you were right. Despite pitiful objectives (especially targets on wave 10) it was calm, relaxing match. And yes, I did it only on silver, so I'm gonna stay in "kids" group for now AW_FC_1986

I had a feeling to save my 4 remaining missiles for the last objective. I don't say anything about the time, everyone can see it. It was one hell of a ride. Thank you for the support

Now I plan to finish Tales from the Trenches and maybe Blackwatch Project. We'll see.

Totally agree with you Heroicmass . Doing these challenges was extremely fun (there were some bad moments, I admit) and everyone should give it a try

I'm looking forward to complete other series in the future. It's a completely different experience, especially when you have ability to complete them with your friends.

PS. To be honest it was docsteely 's influence which made me start completing N7 challenge. I'm sure Doc will handle it with more style than me. Fingers crossed

Well i dont really see the enjoyment u can take in ariake, but i guess it s still worse trying. To train your volus timings, shell/shield boost/TC, i wld recommend plat though, not to finish it, but to struggle on the first 2 waves or so.

Ah, forgot the scimitar, i enjoy scimitar sound, and it s the right place to hear it for as long as a concert from a 70 years old former star needing money for his old days.

Concerning modded objectives for Gordian Hour, I believe this would've been stated explicitly in challenge description if Pres meant it to be allowed. And even if he was to say that he did mean to allow modding, I'd argue against it because the majority of runs recorded so far are not modded.

Are there any challenges at all where modding was explicitly allowed?

I'm not what you call a consistent KS medalist so i have to have a bit of a roadmap on how am i to get those medals even before going in. Becomes sort of like a medal grind for the first eight wves and then wave 9 to let off steam *before ragequitting w10 'cause shitty objectives* :why:

...Have to admit missions' medal requirements continue taking a bit of a toll on my confidence. I'm not what you call a consistent KS medalist so i have to have a bit of a roadmap on how am i to get those medals even before going in. Becomes sort of like a medal grind for the first eight wves and then wave 9 to let off steam *before ragequitting w10 'cause shitty objectives* :why:

I figured it as you're definitely getting two for sure: 75 Kills, 75 Weapon kills. I'd try for headshots early when it's mostly mooks so there's three gold medals right there. You can save missiles for the later waves and let the enemies bunch up around the bosses to get killstreaks that way instead of hoping for a good spawn, obviously some maps are better than others for this.

Grabs are the easiest gold medal to go for too on most map. Last mooks give easy realaxing grabs. It s a verygood idea to look at vids and screenies from the HoF before going in btw

That's good advice, and don't forget that you only need 5 grabs for yet another gold medal, so there's an alternative!

And unlike killstreaks, that's usually a medal you will want to get in the first waves, so it's not as painful to have to restart if you miss it. Also, once the wave's budget has been spent, the remaining enemies become very aggressive in chasing you down, and if you see it happen, you can funnel them all into a series of grabs. I am really bad at getting killstreaks, and except for N5.3 (goddess), I think I got a gold grab medal in all the challenges where it mattered. Just figured I'd share my strategy

... of course, you can also go for 10WS if you prefer
