...I confess, that up there, has been my biggest "ahhh, fuck!" moment in the series (so far). Not until i got through to N5.2 and went on a grab rampage with Hunter by accident i was reminded, with an onscreen pop-up, that 5 grabs is, actually, a gold medal :ytho:

DistigousForest, you're lucky to get this reminder quite early on hehe

Yep, i'm pretty much the same... Normally though Biotic/Tech kills are also easy enough to get out of the way during mook waves first and the rest (headshots, weapon kills) comes naturally. But then there are cases like N4.1 for one with combat powers only... That was a very sad GI run for me. I had to avoid proxy altogether instead grinding GPSMG kills with husks to stretch wave budgets as much as i could then switch to Jav and keep on with sniper kills. I did get KS medals by wave 9 at which point i was totally over that challenge. Damn, still can't believe my brain blanked out on grabs so badly :why:

That's what i normally do indeed although only after having a decent go at challenges myself. If i'm successful it's neat to compare and if stumped and frustrated then for tactics/ideas/builds to see where im going wrong

And unlike killstreaks, that's usually a medal you will want to get in the first waves, so it's not as painful to have to restart if you miss it. Also, once the wave's budget has been spent, the remaining enemies become very aggressive in chasing you down, and if you see it happen, you can funnel them all into a series of grabs. I am really bad at getting killstreaks, and except for N5.3 (goddess), I think I got a gold grab medal in all the challenges where it mattered. Just figured I'd share my strategy

Yep, i'm quite the same, if there's a chance to screw the KS i'll be sure to do so. It's to the point where i no longer consider that a viable gold medal strategy for me. And as for the 10WS, i've been trying to prioritise survival over speed lately in sort of preparation for N7 tier missions. And whilst it's unlikely that i even get there in about three weeks left it's a fact that for those challenges 10WS requirement at this time is above my current skill ceiling so need to practice where i can

Solo Missions (Veteran)

I. Blackwatch Original (Fat Turian Sentinel with Arc Pistol)

This challenge was the most irritating of the three. Don't get me wrong, playing fat Turian is always fun, Arc Pistol too. But those dem objectives. Since you are not allowed to glitch them they are painful and less fun to do (on solos). Needless to say that I used my all missiles on the 4th device. I nuked Pyros, Bombers and Rocket Shitters. Rage was strong in this one. That's the reason of crappy time. Seeing TechnoTurian finishing this on Gold under 17 mins, makes me facepalm at my performance. Sigh

II. Ghost (TGI with Saber)

21:15 - Sonashii (154 113 pts) (5WS)

Targets / Hack / Hack

Crappy objectives part 2. It was a fun challenge. Headshoting Collectors is always a pleasure. But being banged by Abomination pushing you into coming from behind Crab - is not <_<

All in all - fun.

III. Mordus' Calibrations (Turian Saboteur with Venom shotgun)

21:42 - Sonashii (153 497 pts) (10WS)

Targets / Devices / Escort

Venom ftw. Also Saboteur is my least favourite Turian. I don't know, maybe I haven't discovered his full potential yet. But nevertheless I enjoyed this challenge. Glad that rng didn't give me another hack. But all of the Blackwatch Project's solos are done. Time for duos, trios and full team challenges. Well we did one on Condor and we almost did second one on the Reactor. Sadly 79 headshots isn't enough :/

We left this unaccomplished after 2 unsuccessful tries. So we decided to finally tick it off. It was fun, and demanding challenge. I did use x3lander's build suggestion and it worked beautifully. Sadly we played on Anub's host. It costed me the extraction as I was viciously pushed back from the LZ 4 seconds before the end. Ugh... another sacrifice to this war... I'm so angry right now. I wanted full extraction. After all the suffer. By the way - I wasn't using ops packs and ammo packs, Anub wasn't using ammo packs and rockets. Sorry that I didn't take a picture

Next to go - another unfinished challenge II. Batarian Nobility, Didn't Know Such a Thing Existed

Project Blackwatch - Trio Missions (Hardcore)

I. Decibel (3x Fat Turian Soldier with Revenant, Adas and Sabre)

Very fun challenge and relatively easy imo. Well maybe because I played Adas on full auto

so all I had to do was holding the trigger constantly.

Ouch... a lot of derp from me. Got sync-killed on a wave 9. Well, to be honest I expected a better performance from myself as I was playing AssDept. Well I can alway say that I was detonating their powers, right? <_<

lll. Anti-gravity (Turian Sabouteur, Turian Havoc, Turian Cabal with Arc Pistol x3)

When it's done. Anub got disconnected and then Origin trolled him hard. We couldn't see each other on a friend list.

Congratulations! Very nice runs!
One of the main reasons for which I started my thread was to remind better players than me (like you and Sonashii, for ex.) that there is fun to be had even when playing lower level difficulties.
Though I hate to say it as an old SP player, imo ME3MP is the better part of the game, despite of the love-hate relationship that we develop with it. When they decide to pull the plug on it, I am going to be sad.

I don't often play Turians and wanted to spend more time playing this exciting and also attractive species so I decided to do an old Turian challenge

not happy with all the time I wasted using the wrong weapon amp and also playing carefully to go for 10WS only to get my face kicked in by a pyro at the end of wave 10 but what can you do.
