N7 Challenge Series (Platinum redos)Revisiting some N7 solos on platinum. I'm only redoing those where I can shave off 5 or more minutes of the runs currently in the HoF. Unfortunately, this meant redoing a couple of cerBS runs. The only way to make up for this is to do a modded platinum solo where all factions besides cerberus appear. Maybe it could include a wave with only possessed scions and possessed praetorians. That should be great fun! Some of these involved a bit of grind but nothing too bad. N1 II C.D.E.M39:50 - TheNightSlasher (360 885 pts) [v]
N2 I Resolve of the Shadowbroker 28:12 - TheNightSlasher (383 295 pts) [v]N3 II Hold the Line41:26 - TheNightSlasher (373 770 pts) [v]N4 III Annihilation34:18 - TheNightSlasher (388 790 pts) [v]N5 II Kill Them35:45 - TheNightSlasher (377 753 pts) [v]N6 I Garrus' calibrations part 2 - Archangel44:09 - TheNightSlasher (357 485 pts) [v]N6 II Next of Kin34:04 - TheNightSlasher (323 196 pts) [v]Armored compartments could've shaved a couple of mins on 1.2, 2.1, and 4.3, maybe. But Geth scanner nullifies a lot of phantom BS and nonsense smoke capabilities of cerBS - so, it was an easy choice for me. By replacing my previous runs with these, the new cumulative time is 14:32:56I tried a couple of other fun ones - N4.1 and N7.2, but I got lame objectives and slower times, so I'm not gonna bother posting them for now. I tried Ariake too but the target atlas on wave 6 tanked a missile, leading to a swift alt+f4. Maybe I'll redo it later.

N7 Challenge Series (Gold redo) N2.I Resolve of the Shadow Broker 26:19 - DistigousForest(287678) Objectives were great: Hack, escort, escort. This was my second attempt. My first one an Atlas blocked me on a stairwell and I missed extraction. This one was much cleaner anyway.

so whatever happened to that idea we floated of Alfonsedode picking up the custodianship of the challenges hof? did we get anywhere or is it a bit of a moot point anyway with Al less and less around here.... Smehur likes it too much i guess... Pretty much, though I wouldn't say I "like" it. More like, I worked hard to create a somewhat automated system to make the updates easier, but it would be difficult and time-consuming to teach a new custodian to use it; as in, more difficult than actually continuing to do it myself now that it exists. And it would feel like my time developing it was wasted if they rather chose to ignore it and do stuff their own way. Sure, it would be better for the people in this thread if the updates were done by someone who's still active, but being active is no guarantee they'll have any more energy for this than us. In fact, I bet they'd either quit within a year, or end up updating as rarely as we do. (Not directed at Al or anyone else in particular, just a general intuition.) It's an incredibly tedious thing that requires a lot of patience and pedantry no matter how you approach it. Admittedly, it would be a lot less tedious if we did it every couple months instead of twice a year. I've been trying to get an update rolling since two months ago, but this year has been a tiny bit stressful, so it may not happen for a while yet. In case anyone's interested in what's involved in the HOF maintenance as it's organized at the moment, I wrote a whole series of articles about it, starting with this (but this one is the most relevant).

N7 Challenge Series GOLD
Yay. First I wanted to redo some stuff, but I decided that I will never play any of that games again. Especially n2.3 and n7.1. Ariake video will follow in a few years, when the upload is finished.
My belated congrats, N7!! Well done. Glad to see you getting past the last couple hurdles and scoring the series completion.

Thank you! ...
-----
Also I uploaded my Ariake!
Wow! I missed the ceremony for the rite of passage of our little pesty ... Congratulations, ! Especially as you managed it as I told you to. by finishing before some others did ... Also you should change the link in your submission for Ariake, to point to the video instead of the picture.

I thought I would finish the update during the weekend, but I only processed 200 out of 500 submissions (no exaggeration, that's what happens when the HoFs aren't updated for half a year). Seeing how it might take another week or more, I'm gonna spare you the suspense and just say my piece now. The nice-looking site Prestacious has been so generously hosting for us is actually a nightmare to work with. He doesn't know this, because he doesn't work with it. I work with it. I tried to negotiate a move to another platform, first when the site was being created, and again in 2018. Pres said no. All of this is old news, though. I always hated the site, but not enough to quit this job - until now. What changed? Well, Wix (that's the platform the site is built on; like WordPress, but more shit) is going to retire one of the main building blocks of the site (a list-type container) in a few months. After that, the existing lists will remain viewable, but it will no longer be possible to update them with new content. Something like 70 of the 80 pages that comprise the site use these lists. The challenges themselves, the leaderboards and most of the halls of fame are stored in them. If I can't update them anymore, I can't update the HoFs anymore. What Wix suggests we do about this extremely shit move is paste the content into another type of container (and pray that they don't retire that too in a few years). But guess what? Pasting the content to another type of container in the case of this particular site is the same as building the damn thing from scratch. And I ain't doing that. I'm done with Wix and honestly, with Pres too. Once I finish the current update, I'm not touching this site again. I said the future is uncertain instead of saying this thing is outright dead because we could go on - eslewhere. I could create a site of my own and keep the halls of fame there. The thing I have in mind would be much easier to maintain, as it would be displaying stuff from a database, so there'd be no more manual site updates. A few years back I made a partially functional prototype for fun, but eventually abandoned it as it seemed pointless to duplicate the already established Pres's site. I'd be happy to pick it up again, but it might be a long time before I can get it up and running. Another option, obviously, is that someone else takes over the maintainance of Pres's site, does the copy-paste redesign, and then also does the updates in the future. The new custodian would have to figure out how to do stuff pretty much on their own. I could help initially (by which I mean answering specific questions rather than giving detailed instructions) but wouldn't want to stay involved. Of course, other ideas are welcome. Let me know what you all think.

I would say, though, that i would be perfectly happy with a spreadsheet format display, but maybe it s not that long to prepare a nice looking page from a spreadsheet. LOL, i know some here could be that dedicated , but does seem the worst idea and also quite unsure technically
