Looking for some help through heartbreaker. Its hard starting off, ive spent at least 200 dollars on plat and 20 plus promotions of gold on boxes and nothing. I see damn near ever 2 hand weilder with the hakkon sword of honor i think its call. All ive gotten was a level 15 purple staff and 20 mace that had beserker on it. The promotion grind plus the very low rng system makes the grind seem so daunting.

If it's Hakkon weapons you are after, heartbreaker isn't the way to go about it. Farming nightmare dragons on the fereldan castle map is the way. Yes, you can get them through store chests but not reliably. In fact, they may be locked (from getting them via store chests) until you reach a certain loot score but I'm not sure on that. They are never level locked from getting them via nightmare dragons however. The drop rate is not great either way and the grind, as you mentioned, is real. I'd help you but I'm on PC.

The funny thing is i beat this game 2 weeks after release. I didnt find out about multiplayer till 3 weeks ago crazy huh? They can at least turn up the exp bc 50 promotes of each class rogue warrior and mage is REAL. Maybe either turn up the drop rate for higher lvl and viable weapons, id even take a good blue.

Ty and i would be having more fun with a bone to chew on, no thanks to bioware. I just got the exp chest for warriors and rogues and im taking way more damage. Im trying tho just so discouraging know i need at least 30 more promotions of each class to have some survivability for perilous. I just died do a solo routine with 10 promotions of each. Sad huh but true story.

Sad huh but true story. Have you looked into various builds listed on this site? A few experienced players decided to start over from scratch and we beat perilous a few times with zero promotions. Silent Sister, Legionnaire, Saarebas and Reaver all viable on perilous with the right build, strategy and armour. Archer, Avaar, and Necromancer will guarantee a quick death 😃

Also, dying may not be fun, but if you get done with zone 4 in perilous, for example, you got more gold and experience than you would have gotten completing a threatening match. Same with threatening and routine.. if you complete zone 4 in threatening, you got more gold and experience than finishing zone 5 in routine. So, it is better to push yourself a bit, even if you don't make it through the boss fight. Heck, run away from the boss and kill everything else for experience, if you can.

I just got the purple melee belt so thats helping out alot. U would think the exp armor would have some type of def on it. Also i just got a good dagger but the grip i made to put in it wont go bug maybe? I am actually starting to see better loot probably luck tho.

Not luck.. the more loot you see ( from platinum or hunting ) the better subsequent loot is... generally. It was a dagger grip? When you get the higher tier armor, it will REALLY help out.

I see the difference now its for a dual blade i guess theres a difference in daggers....is that gear from chest? yes, there is dual blade daggers which are all pretty bad with the possible exception of the nameless blade and regular daggers. The upgrades are not interchangeable. Are you talking about the armor Gekrakel mentioned? You get Drakescale armor for getting a cumulative total of 1 million XP for the 3 classes, warriors, rogues, and mages. Everyone except the Virtuoso gets an armor. It is the highest armor rating in the game. You can check your progress to getting the armor in the challenges section in game, can't remember what section specifically though. The armor does help tremendously in earlier difficulties.

I desperately need a good staff to be as far along as i am im still rocking a lvl 11 purple sucks. Ive spent over 200 dollars on platinum and nothing to show for it. Fun game but the loot system seems to be def broken.
