To all the people out there taking lvl 1 characters into gold matches

Mostly agree. Appropriate gearing is essential, but so is playing smart.

Saw a couple of very low level character kits in the 11 Wave Gold mission. Which I felt from the start was going to be me carrying. Which actually completed without a hitch in most cases. As they were playing smart. (Appropriate weapons, equipment and boosters. And did NOT run in without examining the situation brewing before them; took excellent tactical decisions)

Then I was in 2 runs of high level or capped character kits. One group barely survived as I was there zooming around reviving everyone and not just charging in without evaluating the situation and needing to sacrifice one player to safely revive the other two. In the end, that run still completed, but it got a bit tense in the middle of the mission when I was reviving every 20s.

The other run went down bad; failed at Wave 10 Hack, partly due to zone (in the middle of the map, so it's basically a kill zone for enemies on you; especially if you didn't clear a side out first and just camped), but also because each member other than myself had rage gel'd up and exhausted all supplies by Wave 4. With no way to clear the map out (Think I was the only one using Cobra RPG's in there) and having a poor connection to the host (resulting in 2 missed shots), there was no way for me to help recover that run. Didn't self revive, even though had 4 revive and first aid kits left. Simply wasn't doable. So let timer run out on that one. Everyone was well geared, just poor play resulted in not being able to complete that run.

Stop whining. Just sack up and carry.

The more people you carry to a better manifest, the longer life this game will have.

Bah. I do not see the problem. Max your fitness, bring a good weapon. Even with a shady weapon I do ok on gold with level 1 kits (rank X+ ofc). It is almost impossible not to extract on gold these days so I utterly fail to see the purpose of lower difficulties. And this thread.

To be fair, I played some gold matches at (technically before) launch as a level 8 Salarian Operator with terrible point allocation and the Avenger as a main weapon. Just carry them for a game or two. If they're low apex and/or badly equipped, 50k will probably go a long way for them. They may even pull something nice between matches, and they won't be level 1 for long.

I don't know my first Gold game with the Asari Sentinel, while she was rank XX she was also only level 1 and I still topped the board doing nothing but holding Backlash up followed by blasting sh** in the face with a Disciple Siphon. I don't remember exactly what the spread was but I was diffidently on top of it lol

I personally don't give a sh** if someone wants to roll in a Gold on a lvl 1 just don't AFK and blatantly make it so I have to carry you, I will kick you on Wave 6 I don't give a f***, you waste my time I'm going to waste yours ;D
