So on my next play through I think I'm going to try a combat based character, soldier profile pure Rambo style with drax and vetra for sidekicks.
I'm pretty well set on using concussion shot and Turbocharge but I can't decide between omni grenade or flak cannon as the third power. Any opinions between the two?
Also open on weapon suggestions. Fairly well set on the valkyrie, hurricane, and pirahna, kinda going n7 style on everything.

I...well, damn, man, you have everything pretty well planned out. If I were going with a soldier build that's pretty much what I'd do except I'd go with fully evolved barricade with electric evo...just to, you know, mix things up.

Personally I don't find concussive shot that good in MEA so I probably would go turbocharge, barricade and probably omnigrenade but that's based on my playstyle and if I was going foe a pure soldier build. I've not played one yet though. I have an Explorer build planned for my next Scott as I was planning him to be an allrounder and was planning a pure biotic build for Sara next time out for her as I was going for an Adept run. I've kind of done half and half type biotic builds on MEA but never a full on one so I'm looking forward to it

My...not dislike, that's too strong of a word, but distaste for concussive shot in ME:A has to do with it requiring power cells to use. Granted, I abused the bejeebus out of it in ME3, though, so I can slightly understand handicapping it in a way.

It only uses power cells if you pick that option in the skill upgrades, by default it just has a cool down

But then it depends on the build your going for I guess.

I don't see much use for trip mines when most combat is in open areas and enemies don't move around much.
I still want to do a vanguard play through as well, started one and my game got corrupted. Wonder how well the krogan hammer works With it

Tbh Trip Mines are my fave combat power. yeah I had the combo pull/throw/shockwave on my Natalie as an Adept configuration which was cool. She was primarily a Sentinel though but I had an engineer and Adept profile set to switch too to provide alternatives in the favourites .But I've got to admit I really enjoyed using those 3 together. I mostly used it when doing missoins like the Archon ship mission though only when I knew I was only going to be fighting Kett or organic enemies though in the game. I can see myself having great fun with those as my primary powers on my Adept build later when I do it.They won't want to mess with this Sara unless they want to learn how to fly straight into a bulkhead. Because she will toss them into one if she has to. Going to have a go at building a Explorer style build first though with a Scott for my 5th playthrough though. The Adept Sara will be my 6th.

One thing I did manage though which I was very pleased with is that I completed that whole final mission in my last playthrough without dying as it was the first time I managed to do that.

Yeah if I can't use a power at point blank range and it doesn't have auto aim, I'm a bit useless lol. yeah that's one of the reasons why I kind of miss the pause to aim feature on MEA as it kind of leaves yo having to use the hit and hope approach with powers. Stlil most of the time I can stil get the targets I want to hit but it isn't easy. At least I can still use pause to aim when playing the trilogy though.

I'd choose flak cannon over omni grenade for the utility of the stun. But that's me.
I'd also choose barricade over those 2 options though. evolve for weapon damage and electric fence. This synergises nicely with your detonator concussion shot and your weapon damage turbocharge.

It just seems to meh, especially when compared to a technician or biotic build. yeah Biotics are my favourite way to play MEA. I don't know why but I find Sara extra sexy when I see her manipulating the battlefield with her biotics. Was thinking of playing a female Adept Ryder in one of my next playthrough's after my next Scott run.

Scott, I could never really get into him to find powers that fit, I need to do a playthrough with him when I get done with Sara Canon.
