Yes you young whipper snappers, before computer, console and iphone games there were these things called board games (fun but bad graphics). What are some of your favourite board games? Here is the one that myself and friends probably had the most fun with as it always devolved very very quickly into trying to get revenge on another player for the bad thing he/she did to you in the game rather than actually winning the game.   |

I remember my playing The Game of Life and Trivial Pursuit with my family. We had other games in the closet, but they had all been ruined and picked over by the savage horde of my older siblings, and being so much younger, the board game thing was pretty much done and dusted by the time I was old enough to actually appreciate the appeal beyond "WHEEL SPIN YAY DICE CAR VROOOM".
Playing Monopoly and TriBond with my ex and his family nearly destroyed that relationship years earlier than it inevitably ended. More's the pity.

those two are my favorite What is that top one? its called luto, pretty much each player has 4 tokens each starts in the house and tries to get in the middle, you only can leave the house if you roll 6 or 1. If you step on a other player token on same field they must go back into the house, a player which had all 4 token in the middle by end of the game is the winner, easy and relaxing. |

These days I regularly play Arkham Horror with my real life pals... one of them owns the game and all the expansions, but we generally only play with one of them. We tried all the expansions at the same time once and just couldn't handle the complexity... and the game length. We also occasionally play Junta because being a corrupt el presidente once in a while can be quite fun. |

Risk, Monopoly, and The Game of Life spring to mind. I also enjoyed... Mousetrap:  Scattergories (more of a trivia word game than a board game, but still):  Chinese Checkers:  Wanna consider cards games, too, since they are also un-electronic group-oriented entertainment? I played a hell of a lot of Hearts growing up with my family. It's still my favorite card game. Can play 500 as well, but rusty. These days, though, Cards Against Humanity gets the party nod.

I've mainly played monopoly >.>
But a while ago I played Ticket to Ride with a few friends. You get assigned a few cities and then you gotta use your luck and cards to build train tracks to connect them. It was hilarious. When I knew I couldn't win I started trolling the others by blocking their tracks with mine xD

I live for Scrabble and Boggle. Pretty much any word game. Monopoly takes forever, and I've never finished a game. I used to play Battleship with a friend who didn't know the difference in pronunciation between "g" and "j." it led to much confusion. Scattergories was fun as hell, as was Pictionary. Oh my goodness, Pictionary.  It's always so much better with people who can't draw. |
