Anyone else having trouble finding specific lobbies lately?

It is very difficult to me to find lobbies (specially for Platinum) and it's been like this for over a month (I'm on PC, btw). This is mostly caused by region lock.

I end up playing only on private lobbies or public lobbies hosted in US (which seems to be the only region where there are still enough players).

Week days... I gotta force myself to play challenge specific missions because now MF matters...   :sob:

I used to only play random/random/gold just about a month ago...

I was hosting public bronze lobbies yesterday during absolute peak times to test some stuff - and noone joined two games in a row. Before and after that I hosted several full gold pug lobbies.

It seems that the game is dying fast. No new players moving up, and the few apex 600 I sometimes see in gold lobbies are the exception. Regionlock and poor gameplay/loot decisions really showing up now.

Sometimes I try to do silver apex missions because of daily challenge.. and that`s why I said it`s hard to find some apex missions.

I have hard time finding those... so end up playing normal silver games..

Is there any way to see an active player count? It's getting to the point where I recognize the names of the people in my pugs because we get placed together so often.

Andromeda player problems.

Its not in trouble, its that word that starts with the letter "d"

Not 100% on how lobbies are handled between them. But literally can not find a lobby on PC that I did no just leave in andromeda. I just play w/e bs the game tosses my way now. Some games are only 2-3 people on gold.

I started experiencing this quite a while ago, the Asian community has long been a ghost town. It's exactly as I feared before the game's release: Biower can't fix the game's netcode so they threw in region lock matchmaking in hope of hearing less complaints, knowing this will divide the already small community. But the netcode is soooo bad that the game has 999 other problems which can't be "fixed" even by regionlock, then they just denied there's netcode issue outright, smh.

Now I'm semi-retired, still keeping the game on disk only because I want to see the new chars. I'm having a lot of fun in Titanfall 2 PvE recently, the pc community of that game is not huge, but at least I can switch matchmaking regions if one runs dry.

I wouldn't be surprised if the size of the playerbase is decreasing in recent weeks.

What I would be curious about (but will likely never know) is how the size of the playerbase over the first couple of years of Andromeda compares, ultimately, with the first couple of years of ME 3. Or even beyond that, to five years or more, to see what happened to the ME 3 numbers when ME:A came out.

If they were still getting a trickle of ME 3 microtransactions which subsequently dried up, and ME:A's ends up drying up on an accelerated timeline (two strong "ifs" that I don't/can't know) it may ultimately turn out the handling of everything ended up negatively impacting their existing revenue stream without successfully replacing it.
