Anyone else feeling this way?
I'm just not that interested in all the new stuff, it leaves me totally "meh".
Maybe it's sour grapes, but I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on Andromeda points 6 hours a day grinding Gold or Platinum to buy random packs mostly filled with crap I don't want.
I will grind and maybe spend some real money getting what I want, not what they want me to have...but that's impossible now.
I'm at the point now where if I can't do that I'm going to start really looking for something else to play. It's more annoying than it is fun and the guy I play with the most is feeling the same way. Bioware, I think you done screwed up.

1.09 was a fairly significant factor in why I stopped playing. I ended up with a lopsided manifest that had giant gaps when it came to mods and kits. After 1.09 I stopped getting mods at all, and that made an entire weapon group sub-par, to say nothing of the difference between high-ranked and low-ranked kits.

I stopped flipping the cards to see what I got unless I see a UR card. 'Oh another variant rare weapon, into the pile you go, don't care which one it is'.
Part of it is that upgrades from variant I-X are meaningless, so I am not really interested in ranking them up. The other part is just the sheer volume of the grind.
BW could have handled it a lot better. Even if they insist on diluting the pool they could have introduced variants one at a time, maybe also capped the ranks to V initially. Keep the carrot within reach. Simply dumping a giant pile of relatively worthless crap makes the carrot so far out of reach that most people stop caring to chase it.

Every gun besides Dhan, Hurricane-Rozerad, Shadow, Valiant-Inferno in this game don't matter. So thats basically (3) guns in this game... if you think about it, if every gun you unlocked, then unlocked a variant for actually was useful or served a purpose, getting them wouldn't be so bad.
At the moment, there is nothing that signifies "I got something for my effort" unless you get one of these weapons. Getting a common is just as "intense" as getting over half the URs. Where is the thrill?
Same can also be said about a large portion of the characters. Bioware is really missing the ball.

If this game had any ability to get what you LIKE, it'd be 10x better. Probably my most enjoyable period was when I FIRST made it to golds and still had common cards at mid-rank. Literally every single match I'd get 2-3 upgrades to guns or characters I WAS ACTIVELY USING.
Those common cards were so more more rewarding than anything that followed, because I actually FELT the improvement in *actual play* instead of just some tick box in a long list I'll never fill up.
Now I can go an ENTIRE NIGHT and get a single rank up of equipment I'm actually using or characters I actually want to level. And I'm not even through my uncommons yet! There's just THAT MUCH trash!

i wish they would increase the amount of cards you get in one pack like 5 cards for premium level packs and 2 or 3 in all the other packs

Keep the carrot within reach. Simply dumping a giant pile of relatively worthless crap makes the carrot so far out of reach that most people stop caring to chase it. I don't give a sh** what there excuse was they should have made the variants a mod that is equip-able on all weapons and just gave everything a 3rd mod slot. Problem would have been solved as it would have only increased the amount of cards by 30 instead of like 1100. Then they should have done what they did in ME3 and made weapon mods have an equal chance from packs as any other item and introduced all the new mods into the normal pack loot table instead of having them locked behind f***ing mission funds so it doesn't take 20K+ MF to unlock them basically taking it months and months of sending out strike teams and doing challenges every single f***ing day to unlock them all. Lastly in regards to the MF store reduce the costs of the packs or increase the amount of items you get from spending MF's to 5, that is unless they take my second suggestion. An UR anything isn't worth almost 1000MF, that's almost 10 f***ing days of grinding them, I played for like 3 hours yesterday and unlocked 4 UR cards buying nothing but Expert Packs.

They'd never make the variants a mod because diluting the weapon pool was the prime reason for the variants in the first place. It's working as intended.
Their mistake was doing it all at once. They're sitting around in their conference room saying "Oh shit, oh dear, they're really pissed off. If we do nothing will they just get over it?" And the big question is whether they think this will effect Anthem's sales. My opinion is no, that horse has left the gate, but Anthem isn't a game I would want anyway, and certainly not at release or full price.
IMO there's nothing they do with Andromeda that can hurt or help it's ratings or their reputation, so they have no real incentive to fix their screw ups, they've already paid the price so why pour dev hours into it? Dumping all that crap into the game at once proves this to me.
I'm honestly surprised they're even continuing the live stream at this point, even the half hearted way they did it. They have nothing to gain by it.
