So I want to let some friends of mine try out the prologue mission (Habitat 7) and probably a loyalty mission. Take note I'm under the presumption that they won't play the game itself in the future.
The order of priority the mission should have are... 1) a somewhat major decision-making moment, as typical of a Mass Effect game. 2) Interesting story/plot that's easy to follow 3) Great banter 4) Nice setting/location 5) Great combat
Cora - Arguably has a major decision-making moment, an easy & interesting plot with a small twist Liam - Hilarious banter, lots of combat, an unorthodox setting Vetra - Lots of combat Drack - Decent & some hilarious banter, lots of combat, a fun decision-making moment Peebee - A bit of funny banter, with a decision-making moment (although it's very quick) Jaal - Has a somewhat major decision-making moment (also very fast), beautiful setting
At the moment, I'm juggling between Cora or Drack, since they both have a decision-making moment that's NOT an interrupt (so it's not easy to miss), and leaning more towards Cora.

My opinion goes like this;
If they're an old(er) fart go with Drack. That one can kinda hit home.
If they're laid back I'd go with Liam's and guide them through the really funny dialog choices.
Jaal's is an everyone kind of loyalty mission. Can't go wrong playing through that.

I dunno. I think Jaal. The decision was smaller plotwise than Cora's but it felt bigger to me regardless and it's a fun mission.

The problem with most of the loyalty missions is that you have to already know a bit about the characters involved for them to make sense. Not knowing much about Spender, Sarissa, Syd or the Roekaar means that the impact of Draak's, Cora's, Vetra's and Jaal's missions will be lost.
For that reason I'd go for Peebee's or Liam's, based on whichever you liked best. They both make sense on their own (it's pretty easy to pick up what's going on with Peebee's ex). My vote would be Liam's, since there's a bit of a boss fight and the level design is awesome.

It's probably the least interesting of all of them.

Dont forget that at the end of Liam's mission you get the opportunity to decide how Ryder reacts to his stuff-up. It doesn't have any real impact on the game but at least it demonstrates the sort of dialogue options that have been a big part of the series. IMO those are probably as much a key component of Mass Effect as the 'big choices' are. If you're really keen on a big choice I'd go for Cora's. The choices re Sarissa are very paragon vs renegade. And at least in Cora's mission you get drip fed info on what's happening. You might just have to explain to your friends about Cora's background with Asari and how she idolises Sarissa.

I don't think Jaal's mission would be good. I don't think that is makes much of an impression when you are unfamiliar with the setting, the conflicts or parties involved.
Cora's mission on the other hand is pretty self explanatory, has great visuals, action, and decisions which don't require that much of backstory to explain to make sense.

Hmmm...i only played Andromeda once....(hard for me to fire it up again) but i do remember Cora's and Drack's mission being the most interesting...Cora's was especially good with finding those dead folks scattered all over the ship...it was one of the few darker moments in the game and i thought the lighting and visuals was great during her run...
Can't remember too much from Drack's run. but i know i enjoyed it all the way to the end.....Liam's loyalty mission was surprisingly fun too....it's a toss up between Cora and Drack tho...

I'd say Cora's. It's the best one if they don't know much about the characters.

I'd recommend not doing a loyalty mission. The problem (though it's only really a problem if you're showing the mission on its own) with Andromeda's layout is that the lead-up to them spread out over several tasks throughout the plot. You have to know the characters involved to really understand what's going on.
Instead, try taking them through Elaaden's world mission from first landing to giving the drive core to the krogan or keeping it, maybe doing some sidequests along the way. Or even up thorugh establishing the outpost, if you have time. That will show them the open world, a quest-hub-like-area, some good combat, some good environments in the remnant ship, a large-ish decision at the end (even though keeping it isn't much of a reward in comparison, cooperation-with-people-you-don't-like vs self-interest is a major theme in the series), and probably some banter in the process. I'd say it's a good indicator of how the series feels as a whole. It also doesn't need much backstory to understand: all you really need to tell them is that the turtle-headed aliens got kicked out by the main colony and now they've settled here.

They showed Liam's mission in a few of the streams, and the reason for that is that it's easily the funniest, and the ship changing mechanics involved in the mission are interesting and unique, so that'd be the one I'd show off.
