So I've finally got to spend some time with Andromeda multiplayer the past month or so. And I gotta say this weapon force thing is the worst game mechanic I've ever experienced. I assume that's what it is, when you're strolling along the map, minding your own business, then you get caught in the crosshairs of a Chosen and suddenly you're running through pudding. Or you get caught between two or three Observers and a couple of Assemblers and suddenly your feet might as well be glued to the floor. All the while the screen is telling at me "Get to cover!" as if I had any choice in the matter.
Very unsatisfying.

There is no minding your own business in an MEA match, not even on Bronze level. Run, dash, jump, jetpack! Or just attack. There is no glue. Only you... Also, what does op have to do with weapon force?

You mean Anointed, right? ↑↑↑This, though you act like it would matter, we all know if an Anointed sneaks up on you and fully spools your probably f***ed like 95% of the time anyway.

Also, what does op have to do with weapon force? It's a guess. I saw a couple of skills making reference to a boost in "Weapon Force." I'm assuming this weapon force is what makes you run like your feet are in quicksand when you're being fired upon, and that rapid-fire enemies have a $#!+-ton of it.

Pretty sure weapon force is an aborted mechanic that attempted to add more transparency to when weapon fire would stagger than it did in ME3. As far as I know, though, it has no effect and for the most part player weapon fire doesn't stagger at all. It was one of the early complaints but kinda fell down the priority list when we continued to discover how fucked this game is.
Afaik anointed are the only enemy to have the property you're describing, and I don't really mind it because you're dead if you're caught in their fire for any chunk of time anyway.

If annointed gets you in his crosshairs, EVADE DON'T RUN, evade multiple times.

You unload a whole clip of the Revenant into an Annointed's face and they'll tank that shit like an ME1 krogan hopped up on Immunity. Even a Possessed Praetorian could get stunned when hit hard enough. Our weapons lack impact. Hell, don't let them get triggered enough to melee you. That shit'll go down like this:
