All the other maps are fairly decent putting an ammo box near the stationary objectives (upload & hack). While there are some spots on each map that might be far from an ammo box, Vertigo really puts them in awful places.
All the areas on the lower part of the map have no ammo box even remotely close. LZ area doesn't have one very close. Back of the map has 2 ammo boxes just under the steps, but it's not a close run when you that's the main chokepoint for enemies.
Aside for the dead center location, and 2 main area objective spots, they really didn't plot this map out correctly. While you can certainly use the consumable, it's certainly not as ideal as just hopping over to a close ammo box to resupply.
