So I'm sure a great number of people have noticed, but I wanted to know if anyone knew what the reason was behind the 30-sec lag spike that occurs in every match. I play on Xbox, so I'm not entirely sure if it happens on other platforms. Have the devs ever mentioned why this lag spike occurs? While it would be easy to assume its to load in assets, the game looks to have everything loaded up once the match start. Even if you join a match in progress you still get the lag spike.

30 second lag spike as in it last 30 seconds long, or its at a 30 second interval? either way, no, PC doesn't have that issue, and iirc, is actually a issue that existed on a lot of console games. So yes?

So yes? When you finally drop into the match (and are able to move), after 30 seconds you experience a sudden lag that lasts for a second or two. After that, the game proceeds as normal; connection stability willing. I remember seeing on one of JRandalls list of questions that this one of the things he wanted to ask. Didn't know he actually proposed the question some time ago. I wonder if it's worth bringing up again.
