Hey everyone.
I would like to try soloing a Platinum run for personal challenge but I don't want to use a stealth character. I'm willing to run multiple attempts till I get the right special waves... but I'm in need of some advice. I haven't found videos around where someone do Plat-Solo with no-stealth character...
... Which faction should I choose? Which map? What character would be best?

Thanks, Z. - Completed the plat solo with the Human Sentinel and Bat Scrapper when i got lucky with no hacks. - Completed the plat solo with the human sentinel, wave 2 hack. (Barricade is very handy) - Failed a Wave 6 hack with the scrapper. - Almost made it with the Krogan Merc, Cleared a wave 4 hack which completely drained my resources (very fierce battle! it was) and got slapped with another hack on wave 6!...gave up....The Merc should be doable as well if you didn't get stuck with multiple hacks. I would say the Merc is more resilient than the scrapper for a solo because of rage and fortify. Maps - Try firebase Nimbus, different levels to fall through and escape when the heat is on. - Magma is feasible too. - Try firebase zero if you are using a character with barricade. My conclusion is that one hack is doable! Hacks on more than wave may be impossible if you're using a non-cloaker (as 1 hack might empty all your resources). Don't forget the siphons and level IV consumables. |

You solo by killing things or making it so things don't kill you. Any class with good stun or a way to mitigate enemy fire are platinum soloable.
Human Soldier imo is the best with blast stun from frags and AoE damage. Concussion shot also takes care of surprise Annointed and Observers. Enjoy the long "personal" orgasm...

Plat solo is pretty frustrating as it depends on the objectives you get.
I myself have 3 attempts and 3 fails.
All wave 4 Hacks using the Avenger.
These were all prior to the hack being sped up again, so maybe I'll give it another shot.
With a cloaker, it's not all that difficult, it just requires patience and the right objectives.
I haven't seen a plat solo sans cloak posted yet...so...good luck!

Plat solo without stealth is insanely hard to me, since I lack l33tness. Hell, it sounds hard as balls even with tactical cloak due to the cooldown.
Made it to wave 3 with the Turian Havoc on Sandstorm vs remnant, but I floated off the map three times and burned through consumables trying to recover, and then ragequit. It was.... not good. Someone with actual reflexes, aim and situational awareness should be able to make the havoc work with good objectives. Flak spam is OP.
For maps, I like Sandstorm, it has verticality for quick escapes, but also rooms for decent objective cover. Derelict is good for similar reasons.
As for factions, I hate all three equally.

As far as faction advice. I'd go with Kett or Outlaw.
The only enemy that can seriously mess up the hack is the progenitor. You cannot get rid of it quick enough and will get swarmed by everything else. You will be forced to leave the hack zone.
- You can get rid of even blaze hydras with the Merc, Scrapper, human sol, turian sol, etc quick enough, as long as you have the right fire power (Piranha, for instance).
- For ascendants, you just need to get rid of the orb to stop him in his tracks before he enters (buy yourself some time). Don't waste resources trying to finish him off. Just leave him hanging outside to prevent more spawning.
- If they are any enemies that don't necessarily barge right into the hack like beserkers (Observers, angara, for instance), it is advisable to not kill them. Leave them hanging outside, to prevent additional spawns.
- Depending on the proximity of the hack location to the initial spawn point, you may not want to rush immediately to the hack when the wave begins. It would be advisable to stand at a more remote corner of the map till they all (especially, the biggies) swarm you there. Proceed to hack zone after that and start it. Obviously, this changes a lot based on hack location and map. The only maps i have experimented with are zero, nimbus and magma. Couldn't say anything about the others.
- If you get swarmed and have to leave the zone, don't run off to the far end of the map. They won't follow you there and will stay in the zone. Instead, fight from a spot right outside and slowly back off so they follow you outside. Hop back in.
- I think this is starting to sound ridiculous as i attempt to write this all out. So, i'll quit right here.
In short, just GIT GUT.
