So we don't get to cure our mom; we don't get to find out what Cerb-I mean "someone" was after by killing Jien Garson; and we don't get to save the Quarians. This may be unfair but next time, BioWare, don't leave the loose ends for DLC. I was far more invested in curing Ryder's mom than I ever was in killing the Archon. Yeah I love how they resolved the least interesting part of the story in-game and then leave the rest to books. LOL. I don't want to play games that need to be finished by books. I make an exception for KotOR and The Sith Lords. |

well that is a real shame. Here i was, 15$ in my hands ready to go.
N7 day, what could they release of any value then ? MP stuff? i already find the multiplayer a jumble of nonsense driven by some schizoid AI .
And they just keep adding more. Anyway.
I will play the SP some more to complete all classes and then i'll probably toss it where dreams go to die.

His utterly immature, and in at least one instance borderline criminal, behavior towards his skeptics might have something to do with that. Criminal? I sincerely doubt that.
But in any case I bet this could be said in regards to the people that attacked him as well.
But I digress, in a normal situation, normal people would react to a story like this however they will, and then they will move on. To say that the reactions to his story were heated would be an understatement. He felt under attack, and responded by attacking back, escalation ensued.
I don't care about all that personally, I care about news, and I care about reporters that prove to be reliable at finding and reporting on said news.

Really sad to hear, was hoping for dlc. I really liked Mass Effect Andromeda, had a lot of flaws, it was rough but I liked it... If they ever do decide to change their mind I'd buy dlc no problem but oh well. I hope Mass Effect continues. Still excited for Dragon Age and Anthem, hope they learned and release a more polished work and don't do this again.

No one here incited cyberharrasment against Jason. He very much did incite cyberharrasment against people here. I don't know, I saw some comments here about him that sounded like violent threats. (probably not credible, but still, if we are comparing victimhood)
And I don't think what he did was actually inciting harassment. What was it, he posted a screen grab with a username that he didn't delete? I wouldn't call that harassment.
In any case, that's irrelevant to me. He is a credible reporter when it comes to things of this nature, he has proven himself in the past, and was proven right yet again. So yes, I'm certainly going to give further stories from him all due attention.

When you say something on someone on the internet, that person has a right to respond without getting blamed for "harassment".
Whether he should have responded or whether it was smart to do so is a moot point. His credibility only came out of this story looking better in all due honesty.
It wasn't harassment from Jason himself, but it was inciting others to commit harassment. There are plenty of better ways to respond that wouldn't have made him look like a tantruming bully. |

The fact is that a full game has a very different cost-benefit ratio than DLC. I suppose that's a good point. After all they did cut their losses and move on with a much better product. However, under no circumstances is this news good. And yes the game may come back in some form later on down the line, full reboot, soft reboot, sequel to Andromeda, I personally highly doubt it after this news or at the very least we would see such a thing any time soon. Multiplayer is where the money is for BW. Player count is faarrr higher on multiplayer than singleplayer. A logical decision. If this game MP was generating money, they'd continue making dlc (MP) for it for a while. If DLC isn't worth it for them to make... do you really think a sequel would be? It was for Dragon Age II after they cancelled the expansion. DAII was financially successful. |
