It was recently called confirmed that Andromeda will get no dlc. Looks like Jason was right. Seems like everyone who harassed him was clearly in the wrong and was just hypocritical considering their treatment of other leaks.
To everyone who doubted him, ready to eat some well deserved crow? Maybe next time, an accredited journalist who was right many times might actually have a point

The only reason we aren't getting DLC is because gaming journalists like Schreier contributed to the completely-undeserved hostility towards the game, knowing full well the people they sold their soul to actually threatened female BioWare staff and just want the studio to die because of their intolerance towards female, non-white, and LGBT people.
But hey, he gets his clicks, those trolls get to feel vindicated in harassing and threatening BioWare staff, and we fans get told to kill ourselves.

I think the issue was how he reacted to people more so than his anonymous sources on Andromeda. People knew he very well could be right because yes, he has in the past. He also could've been wrong cause that's happened before too, and many tried latching into him being wrong, some of it just anger at HOW he went about it. His line of work he's pretty much a 50/50 gamble on what he reports. The real issue is him pissing people off the way he went about antagonizing others. Screenshotting and making fun of users? I'd listen to another journalist more than him so long as that same attitude isn't shared even if the other guy isn't right on his sources like Jason is. Granted I also think it's part of the fanbases own fault cause they can't simply ignore anything, they've always got to fight it or mention it whenever possible.

Sure, I'll give him more credit in the future he deserves it, but I put all the blame on BioWare for this mess. They should have said this post-launch because that is when this decision was made, not last week. |

People tried their best to discredit him because they wanted him to be wrong. It was nothin logical or reasonable, it was purely personal for fans. But for him was just another day at his job.

I think pouf is in denial, regardless of how I feel about Jason Schreier, I doubt he was part of some conspiracy to make sure Andromeda wouldn't get DLC. Might as well make use of my love of science fiction. |
