You know all about the rEAper. They harvest development studios, squeeze them for all they got, then leaves their dried out husks. EA is notorious for abandoning franchises (Sim City, C&C, MoH). Other publishers/developers like CDPR and Blizzard support their games through and through; they put effort into polishing their games and coming through for their fans.
EA will disappoint you. Look how they abandoned a cherished franchise, just like that, despite posting record profits. You can expect the exact same if their future games perform poorly. That's why there won't be another ME. They abandoned the one they got now and they won't put a single cent into another one.

Comparing EA to Blizzard or CDPR doesn't really work. Bioware is the dev, EA is the owner/publisher. The people calling the shots at EA's head office don't have any personal investment in the ME IP, unlike Blizzard with Warcraft etc and CDPR with the Witcher, which means that abandoning it is almost purely a business decision.
