I'm generally a very patient gamer, I believe I've really rage quit only two times. One I remember well, as it was due to pugs being exceptionally insufferable, not doing missions and me wasting all my ops, gels and several missiles, and THEN ragequitting on late wave 9 or early w 10 or some such silliness - dinner felt more important than getting paid at that time.
For friends, I'll stay (and perhaps curse in various languages) even if the lagfest goes beyond funny. Always.
For pugs, I'll usually still try to hang in there, and fight my way through lag or idiotic people - however, I will not spare my words or anyone's ears, and launch a relentless campaign of 'This Is A Team Game And I Am Not Your Mission Bitch'.
Hell, I may even stay there just to drive my do-the-fking-missions point across in various different ways. Yes, I am that bitch. But I'm not their missionbitch.

Let's see. My most notable ragequit in recent memory was from this lobby where I was teamed up with two new players who wanted to play Platinum anyway. We already finished a game on Reactor Platinum with one player bringing a Juggernaut and the other a Warlord. That game was by no means good, but I thought those guys were just useful enough for me to carry them. I bring what is probably my best class, the Crusader Huntress, and they bring two Warlords... Fine, whatever. I'm still confident in our chances against most map/enemy combinations. U/U/P = Geth Hydra. ... ... ... No, I had no confidence in that one. In the first waves, they died a lot, they revived too much, and they still bled out. Around the end of Wave 2, we finally get a fourth, and it's a name a recognize. xelander . Maybe there was hope? Ugh, fuck no. Hack on the left side of LZ. It was a lost cause. We completed the hack, xelander blew all their missiles and left lol. That's fine. [More shitshow]. Wave 6 rolls around and I'm still keeping my head above water, but I was also last alive in both Waves 4 and 5. Wave 6 is HVTs. I kill the first Prime--alone--before everything goes completely south. Both players bleed out far away from the second Prime, which I missile. I run all the way around the map to the third target, hope it switched off Primes, it didn't, I took cover, pressed Esc, and left.
That was probably my most spiteful ragequit. |

I'll rage nuke everything in sight before I rage quit. I've maybe done it once or twice; it doesn't happen very often no matter how ridiculous some shit can get. As a side note I'll gladly abandon the team and get new positioning if I see a revive chain about to happen. rage nuking>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> rage quitting |

Once upon a time, when the game was in its infancy, I witnessed Air Quotes giving up carrying us "what's-a-consumable" scrubs and charging out of sheer desperation straight to a Phantom. I know 'cause I was spectating. Best rage-quit in my book, in style. Lvca pls, give us back our missiles. Kssshk, Err Coots pls. |

Nope I rather try and salvage the situation than waste my amps. Yup...same. Tho sometimes i will just bleed out if i'm constantly dying due to lag.....but i will tough it out for the most part......or just that in some games i find myself being constantly harassed by Banshees....  ...(especially wave 8...  ).....they will ignore thee entire squad and walk me down every wave.......seems like if i pause for just a second, she will snatch me up because she is warping behind me at 100 mph.....  Anyway.....i never rage quit...too much aggravation going through loading screens and finding another game.... |
