So
Ive literally (like an hour ago) bought Mass Effect 3 for pc (I was excited about it ok ) so yeah... ill have to start again I guess (not that im far through on the playstation anyway)
Do you have any tips??? (I know that it will be different and will take some getting used to... like with the controls... but still) Is there anything I need to know before I start playing (when its downloaded that is)??? Just wondering how different the 2 versions are First thing to do is disable mouse acceleration. Both in windows, and in game. That will give the most accurate result. For that you need to download MarkC mouse fix it's available for every windows version and edit your coalesced.bin file in you Mass Effect 3 folder. I can help you further later but i'm at work now.

Welcome! I made the jump from xbox a while ago and I'm really enjoying the feel of the game on PC. I can confirm that reload cancelling works just like on console with the controller mod and I strongly recommend the mod if like me, you have lost all your "l33t sk1llz" from PC gaming in the late 90's. I dont reload cancel on the playstation... out of stupidity and stubbornness probably know how to but just never do In the late 90s I was about 10 haha youll see no elite skills from me anywhere Glad to hear it Gen! Feel free to add me on Origin. Just don't expect to get any games in with me until 2017 >.> <.< Ok Congrats for ascending to the Pcmasterrace. Thank you im not gonna abandon my Playstation or anything but pc is good for times like now where ive got home from work and im tired but not ready to sleep yet

For that you need to download MarkC mouse fix it's available for every windows version and edit your coalesced.bin file in you Mass Effect 3 folder. I can help you further later but i'm at work now. Whats mouse acceleration??? Mouse acceleration means that your mouse pointer automatically moves faster the longer it's moving to help you "cover the distance" on your screen more quickly. Some people get used to it, but for many it means that their aim in game is less accurate due to the varying speed with which their crosshairs move. Some more general suggestions: Get Steam and the GOG galaxy client and discover the wonderful world of Steam/GOG sales! Soon your library will flow over with games that you bought at a fraction of the price and for which you have no time to actually play them! Don't buy game keys from shady sites, they are sometimes based on fraud and put indie devs out of business. Welcome to the PC gaming community!

Was glad to see the friend request, general!
The first advice I'd give to a ME3er coming to PC from console would be: learn 2 hax XD

i tried to suppress mouse acceleration fro couple months, never got used to it ! Yeah, supposedly no mouse acceleration and super low sensitivity is the way to have a great aim. Or more like, it's a prerequisite. But I don't have enough space on my desk to do that :/

OP ... if you have an older computer, you might want to download Razer Cortex ... it's free.
It has a game boost feature that shuts down unnecessary programs when you boot up your game. It restarts those apps when you exit the game. The purpose is to free up resources to reduce demands on your older machine.
DR (DragonRacer) had an older laptop and ME3MP ran like a champ on it, with Razer Cortex providing some help.

Got GenXIV started on a couple bronze runs yesterday. She tried out her new Cabal vs Geth then shot the hell outta some Rippah faces with her Level 1 Mantis HFI. Looks like somebody is finding mouse controlled sniping to her liking Nice job GXIV! It's pretty enjoyable watching the game/controls starting to click with some one...especially observing from hard cover while you're blowing ALL the nearby heads off!

Hello General! Please don't do what I did and delay trying to learn reload cancel. I'm still not too good at it, but I can say it's easier to remap the medigel button to something on the left side of the keyboard. I've tried both C and Tab, and Tab is more effective. However, if you install the console, watch out for the mini-console activation with "~".... accidentally pressing it when trying to reload cancel will leave you vulnerable until you close the console. I'm sure more experienced players than me (^all of the above) can provide better guidance on reload cancel setups. Oh by the way, welcome

I use FoV 90. Apart from that I have no other tweaks (except for red skin tone - for my Asari and flycam). I use scrollwheel for power 2 and three. Power 1 is usually the signature power and somewhat more situational to be spammed. I've bound medigel to the tab key so I can medigel-cancel. Pretty much everything is done through the in-game options. Only for the FoV I needed to edit the coalesced.
