Is there any way to disable gif and images loading with posts?

Please provide a screenshot when possible, as it is difficult to work off of written description; a visual will be easier for us to tackle the issue.
As far as mobile issues go, there are limitations in that ProBoards does not provide a template for modifiying the mobile version of the site.

There's a plugin for it but it won't disable all gifs, as gif links can come from many different sources. And as far as I know, the list is moderately small.
